  • @GibsonGuitars4Life - I got it fixed eventually

I've been gigging my S1-45 for a year now and it never fails to amaze people.

  • How does is sound when trying to get that slash AFD tone ?

  • this amp would sound awesome playin some Maiden..

  • He may look like a bum but he knows his shit!

  • YOU SIR ARE ONE LUCKY GUY!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TwO MM AXIS' guitars man

  • @xmaxima1 Jamie Humphries is endorsed by both MusicMan and Blackstar, so gets his gear for nothing, as long as he promotes them by doing roadshows, and videos like these, etc... Great guitarist!

  • YOU SIR ARE ONE LUCKY GUY!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO MM AXIS' guitars man

  • in 5:24 minutes i just heard more tones than i will ever use... i'm putting an order in for one real soon

  • @farizster i guess you don't use very many different sounds then

  • Sounds a little like the Dobbie Brothers or Boston. He's a freakin conehead.

  • it sounds awesome when he said "metal"

  • @CreamPandy95 imho boston could be a nice example of a classic rock band

  • If you search here for my band you will see some videos of our first gig. The sound isn´t great obviously, but you´ll have an idea. Search for Stone Cold Katal (Katal is the venue). I´m the guy with the white Strat. Hope you find something useful and please ignore the mistakes!!

    Regards.

  • the ISF control has to be one of the most useful features there are on any amp.

  • "stopped flapping it was REALLY tight"...

    that's what she said :L

  • why don't you guys make a 45 head too?

  • I read a review of the S1-100 saying that you can hear a little volume drop going from Crunch to Super Crunch. Is it true?

  • @Blastomorpha No it is that Super Crunch has a little more volume.

  • Bought one of these, it's an amp for life ... I LOVE the way it sounds with my LP

  • @np308 hey man, I saw your comment and I have an LP too and I was thinking about asking you if you can get that Marshall/Slash kind of tone or any eddie van halen. It would be great if you could reply :) Also does this amp take pedals nicely?

    Thanks!

  • @dynamitesteel I think Blackstar was set up by ex Marshall people. It does do some very very nice Marshall-esque sounds, but it's got its own sound too. By the way I use a PRS McCarty with it now which sounds EVEN BETTER. Because the onboard sounds are so lovely I use mainly the amp itself, all I do use on the floor is a Boss GT8 in the effects loop which I mainly only use for a little bit of colour (tiny bit of chorus, delay, reverb) ...... (cont)

  • @dynamitesteel .... (cont) .... tuner, vol, boost, wah, and pitch bend. Have never tried it with any od/dist pedal, but my mate who's an EVH fan has said that if it were his amp he'd want something in the front just to boost the distortion a bit more (his taste I guess)

  • @np308 thanks really much!

  • @dynamitesteel IMHO EVH tone is all there.

  • thats crazy!? can you put a video up or something?

  • @GibsonGuitarsForLife

I wish I could but it wouldnt reveal much. All that really happens is it just dies...a soft pop and the sound and red power light fades. You get nothing out of it... :(

  • it would have just been a one off, are you getting another?

  • @GibsonGuitarsForLife

I'm getting a replacement and returning this one. It's done it every time I've played it over the past 2 days...it's a shame really.

  • Great tones!

  • This amp sounds amazing.

  • is it good for metal?

  • I think so especially the lead channel with a humbucking guitar, in my opinion. It depends on taste though, someone who only plays metal might be better off with something like a Diezel etc. but with a good quality pedal this amp could sound like anything as the basic sound, the clean, is great. It´s down to personal taste though like everything.

  • ok great thanks :D

  • I recently bought one - I play classic rock, & blues rock - quite simply the best amp I´ve ever had. All guitars sound great! Best value for money amp around.

  • hey man im thinking of getting one, only problem is im in canada and there aren't any dealers here so i'd have to go to the states to get it. how is the clean channel? at what number does it break up?

  • It stays clean almost all the way up, at least with a Strat. Obviously if you want early break up you can use the clean channel´s gain control. For heavy stuff on Strat I use a TS on the rhythm but on the lead channel it´s not necessary, for other rock/blues, no pedals:)

  • ...and with certain guitars such as a Les Paul , the TS isn´t necessary at all. The nice thing too is that you just roll down the volume and it cleans up really well, the guitar controls the amp similar to a Vintage Modern for example.

  • sick, that's what i wanted to hear

  • Rally nice amp, I just tested it yesterday. Sounds bad in this vid compared to the reality! Just not cheap enough for a student ^^

  • how much would this go for canadian/where can i get one here?

  • Endorsement please? LOL I joke unless you're willing. I have an HT-DistX at the moment through a L***y solid state and I've been after a valve amp for live and recording for so long. I rmeember buying that pedal and saying to myself "If the Series One amps are anything like this, I'm getting one..."

I think I've foung my dream amp, lads. Good work.

  • Amazing..

  • Great job!

    Sounds very musical!

What is the song from 4:00?????

    HELP!
