When doing this did u just install mac disc and use the multibeast files to help you get interent, sound and graphic. that's what you did to get the hackitosh
@MacTipsPodcast yes processors can handle higher than 100 degrees celcius i have seen bench marking machines hitting up to 201 degrees C and they work fine and are used as regular computers after
Saw this vid and like everyone else I kinda chuckled to see 'a kid' making a tech video (Not a slight at you, just not something that's as common), and then I remembered myself at your age and thought, damn, this guy's got more balls than I would have. Your build sounds great and looks like it boots super fast
Also, props for your production value - I think you're bringing it harder than a lot of other 'big name' podcasters, so keep it up. Don't listen to the haters.
I got my dell e6500 working, but it has intell 4000 gfx so no acceleration. I use it for xcode and game programming for the iphone/ipad so I don't use it for anything else.
@xF33Lz actually it was $768 from newegg... all my money. I've been working as a freelance graphic designer and I make commercials for local companies.
@MacTipsPodcast nice one dude, really impressive that you are doing that. You just fucking owned that guy aswell. Keep doing what you are doing and you will do very well in life.
I bought mine with a Scythe Mugen rev 2 cooler, and never had any airflow problems. Also, i use a CM690ii lite, which has amazing airflow, so yeah.
Oh, and what you need to do is backup everything, nuke your TB hard drive, remove the 250GB (over 1tb of space in hackintosh can prove problematic), install OSX on the TB, then install 7, then download and install EasyBCD for boot options ;)
@MrNintardo Thanks for the advice, I actually ended up using the 1TB for hackintosh only, the 250gb had the death clicking sound so I took it out, and I got an old 160GB IDE for windows. Works perfectly now.
@HeartDraw Wow, this dude's helpin' out lots of people and all u can do is be a first class dick and hater! Ur the only one that needs to be made fun of. smh
Nice intro, sorry to hear about your Hackintosh. Liquid cooling is tricky to setup but it will take care of that heat issue. As for windows......it's windows LOL! Now that I have 2 Mac's I still won't put windows on either of them.....I run it on my PC because I don't care if windows breaks it LOL!
@ollieblade Bootcamp wont even open, it would install that grey screen where you click which OS over the EFI I already have and mess everything up. But good thought though, It made me think. I ended up finding an old 160gb drive I had laying around and installed it on that, now it works perfectly.
@nickpoker My reccomended method is TonyMacx86's iBoot+Multibeast. It is the most compatible with everything, and you just use the retail os x disk. (Google TonyMac iboot and click the first link) Just make sure to check your temps with the quad, those things get toasty. Also you need a SATA disk drive and hard drive.

Which distro of hackintosh are you using? I would like to build one, need a little help. Pretty computer savvy, just new to hackintosh. Any tips?
System:
Intel Quad @ 3.3
Radeon 4600
8gb ddr2
I know all this stuff is supported, but every time i've tried, i've failed to get it successfully installed.
