Still one of his best songs ever. Sad he doesn't play it live that often. It's so calming and the lyrics are so beautiful and true. It actually is an SRV strat, just look at the left-handed bridge. In fact, the JM Strat is derived directly from the SRV signature Strat that John's playing here. It has the same neck profile, finish, etc. John's sig. is sort of an evolved version of the SRV Strat, with custom Little Dipper pickups and a tortoise shell pickguard instead of the SRV pickguard.

its actually his SRV SIGNATURE STRAT that he's own since forever. his model doesnt have an upside down tremolo or the stevie ray vaughan signature on the front of the headstock... he has never played and will never play his signature strat in anything other than a promotional shot. his sig strat is set up to resemble this one. nobody uses a strat made to copy the one you already own and love. not you nor i and definately not major artists...
