@realworldbycj Ron Paul is NOT against war on terror but he is against our country being to source of the terror! He served in the Air force in a war that was declared and legal with the blessing of our Congress. He does not believe any president whould have absolute power to make these decisions. Congress and the Senate exist for checks and balances. Obama has had so much trouble with them because he wants to run everything and wants to keep us as much under his thumb as possible.
@realworldbycj It is all about POWER in Obama's case! He has lied, cheated in finagling himself where he is but he is too dictatorial to see that we do NOT want a dictator and so he has kept this series of wars going. I am sure you must have heard Ron Paul say how a war is properly declared. Don't you think eleven years is a bit of an overkill? Bring our military home to defend any attacks on the USA!
@momsenior1 I see your point. However I must ask. Have we had even one attack post 9/11 on our soil that wasn't thwarted? Did we ever have an attack post 9/11 under Bush? I already know the answer, but I would like to hear your opinion on the matter.
I have heard Paul's statements on how to properly declare war. But it goes both ways. We don't have to declare war if someone has already declared it on us. 11 years is a long time, no argument there. But is this enemy like any other we've faced?
@atgcuz One day, if you are lucky, don't smoke, drink, overeat or do drugs, you, too may be an "old person". All the greatest inventions were created by old people. You, are too much like most of the self centered youth of today: in having no respect for your elders and or anyone in authority. I feel you have argued with signposts and I can tell you that one day you will cross a timeline wher you will realize old people hold a lot of wisdom. Me,? I'm shooting for 100 at least.
In our county, we have already lost our Medicare Advantage and are back on regular Medicare which is more costly. It is a preliminary form of Obamacare and has become traumatic in it self. Sadly, once the government creates a function of any kind, it never stops it nor improves. Stopping Obamacare isn't likely now or in the future. Especially, if we elect the author of government mandated Health Insurance.
Medicare is our present managed healthcare system. There are many drugs, procedures and surgeries limited by non-medical/ med personnel in DC making decissions w/o a face to face examination. This is a one size fits all health care process. Obamacare multiplies those practices by 10 fold at 20X the price & bureaucrats running the system. The federal government should give a tax credit of $6K to ind. & $12K for fam., eliminate state line purchases & let docs deduct costs 4 poor medical exams.
Obama could care less! Seniors, it would appear, in his opinion should just stop breathing.
Once you turn 70, if you happen to need any kind of brain surgery, that's too bad. Medicare will not take care of it. You just die. Ron Paul will repeal anything Obama has mandated!
@momsenior1 I just can't see Paul, or really anyone doing the job the right way. I believe anyone currently running can do it better than Obama, but that goes without saying. I agree wholeheartedly with what Alfanzo Rachael said, "It's not, 'who am I pullin' for!' It's who am I settling for?!".
@constitutionfst yes, he's saying that to get elected. But let's not forget Romneycare is still in affect in MA, and it is Obamacare only on a smaller scale.
@mcap52 The difference between RomneyCare and Obamacare, is quite simple. Obamacare is federally mandated health insurance plan that kills the economy, and takes away individual Freedoms from the People.
Romney Care is a state government creating a health insurance plan on STATE LEVEL, and it's not what Obamacare was in the beginning, saying that we either had to have it or pay and fine and possibly go to jail. It's according to the individual states' needs. Which...
@mcap52 ...in Romney's defense, IS Constitutional. Although I don't think it's a very good idea, I'd rather have it on a state level, than a federal one. The taxes from having it on a federal level will kill all. Rather than a state level. But like I said. I don't want either in my state. Privately run healthcare is what will ultimately work. Although premiums will continue rising, it's better than paying 50% or more in taxes to a system that burns jobs, and costs A LOT!
@realworldbycj : Do some deep research and you will find that Ron Paul is the only true protector of the constitution. All the rest have tried in one way or many ways to get around it. I will always keep in mind the words of Chief Justice John Marshall long ago: Any act of Congress that goes against the Constitution is illegal ans void. I am telling you from experience, these tyrants have only their own agandas in mind. they lie repeatedly and they flip flop continuously. NOT RON PAUL!
@realworldbycj Since I ran out of space, I am telling you that if Ron Paul does not win the nomination, we will get what we have had for the past 3 years and our country will be flushed down the toilet! Ron Paul has the only plan that will turn things around and make individual liberty in a republic a reality again. Not a TV show but the actual freedom we are promised in the constitution!
@momsenior1 So what you're saying is that none of the other Republican candidates will repeal Obamacare, reduce taxes and so forth? I know that most of Paul's supporters are against the war. I don't know if you fall under that category or not. But I am personally in support of the war against terror. Which is partly why I am against Ron Paul. I'll vote for him only IF he gets the nomination. My caucus is coming up soon enough. I'll do my best to protect my children's futures.

@atgcuz That's what Obama and his Cabinet and Zharz think. It's dictating who lives when and who dies when. What is justified about that?

@mcap52 The difference being Romney publicly stated he will end Øbamacare. Your circular firing squad only benefits Liberal/Progressives.
