Just getting into 10,000 Things after being totally blown away by Sam's phenomenal performance in Control (I know he's a modest guy but there's no other way to describe his portrayal of Ian Curtis in this movie! Truly a thought-provoking masterpiece!!)

Anyway, wanted to say I'm enjoying 10,000 Things' music very much! Amazed they weren't more popular in their day. Perhaps they just weren't publicised enough?

Search for Voltage Records and Voltage Studios, you'll find some info. I loved the band...shame another great talent was (almost) destroyed by the fickle music industry.

Sam Riley's really talented. His voice in Leaders of Men... just wow. He's a great actor for someone who's just started, and he has such an uncanny resemblance! The most amazing thing for me, though, were his movements on stage. He really did his homework!

Sam Riley and Samantha Morton deserved Oscar nominations for this movie.

After a point, I forgot that I was watching Sam Riley as Ian Curtis and not watching Ian himself.

The scene just after he hangs himself (its not a spoiler, everyone knows that) and when Deborah goes to the house and finds him is just heartbreaking and Morton did a fantastic job in that scene.

OHMYGOD this movie was amazing. I'm completely stunned by Sam's performance - he really WAS Ian! I hope he becomes a big star.

This movie blew my mind. Not only did it have great Joy Division music but it really made me _get_ what Ian's lyrics were about. Wow.
