Michael Elig war der Typ, der von dem Culkin gespielt wurde/dargestellt wurde. Er war zwar schwul, aber es ging mehr darum, dass er in den neunzigern ziemlich Surreale Partys veranstaltet hat, und eine Ikone der Szene wurde. Ähnlich wie das Studio 54 und dem Chef Steven Rubell, der eine Ikone war, der ja ebenfalls teilweise ein ziemlich Sureales Party-leben geschaffen hat.

Aber klar ist,..ohne die Szene und halt meist homosexuelle,- oder selber sureale Künstler wäre das Studio 54 kaum so glamourös und legendär geworden. Die Michael Elig Story ist sicher am Ende recht tragisch. Party, Koks,..falsche Freunde, Einsamkeit oder zumindest die Erkenntnis, daß "Party-Ikone sein" seelische Einsamkeit bedeutet. Was ist aus ihm geworden? Bin jetzt neugierig.

It is good. You should definitely check it out and the story behind it. I've still got to read the official book that tells the story (Disco Bloodbath now known as the movie's title Party Monster). But it's not very long, about an hour and forty minutes and worth watching.

Oh the book is just amazing. It's so intense, compared to the movie. And it's not all about Michael, mostly James. There was a few parts that I put the book down just to digest it all, haha. And I was kind of upset when I was finished! Aha.

I'm looking forward to Michael's autobiography that he wrote in prison, I was able to read an excerpt and it was just hilarious, about Freez and him waiting for their sentence to be announced...
