  • abdullah .puerto rico loves you ,i remember you fighting against carlos colon must of the time you kick his ass,you are a bad ass .god bless you .

  • "everybody goes the same place..." <---what a profound but true statement

  • what a sweetheart of a man,,,ROFL....wow! cool interview, yet slightly twisted... thanks :)

  • POUND PER POUND THE BEST WRESTLER IN THE WORLD TODAY.

  • he is the best in the world

  • I love this Man!! The best ever!!!!!!!

  • @livendapast -_-

  • I did some Jail time for a DUI in Knoxville TN.(Not that I'm proud about that.)But the kitchen Guard was none other than The Mongolian Stomper, Archie Gouldie. He was quiet, didn't mess with no one and got along with everyone. But in the sliders one day It was him,me and 1 other guy and I ask him who he really liked wrestling and who not.He said Abdullah the butcher was tough because he sometimes got way carried away. The he point at his mind and did the circle finger "Wacko" indication.

  • Does he have attention deficeit disorder? From his words, he sure likes praise, and to be noticed.

At times, I saw Mike Tyson in him.

  • If someone could find some of Abdullah's matches from the mid 80's when he wrestled in the DFW area, his feuds with the VonErich clan would rival the matches he fought in Japan..One night he tookout Fritz, Kerry and David in a span of 10 minutes..BARRELS OF BLOOD!!!

  • Carlos (Carlitos) Colón not Carlos Stalone

  • @ejlugo i know right? xDD i was like "who the hell is calos stalone xDD"

  • alot of these tough guys seem evil but gentle as a teddy bear its abdullah

  • @ 4:21 Calos Stalone....LOL

  • Legend ~ Nuff' said.

  • Calos Stalone? Really TWC? REALLY?

  • Gotta see this......Check out the clip,@ Seriocity.... Don't Bleed On Me. (It's about The Butcher) and it's not cool.

I have it on my channel too. There's a link on the clip, if you agree with this, sign the petition.

  • I'm absolutely shocked!!! Abdullah the Butcher is a nice guy! I've seen it all.

  • I've been a wrestling fan for 27 years this is the only wrestler that struck fear in me when I was young. Abdullah is truly a hardcore lengend in his time always a site to see when he wrestles famous bloodbaths etc..one of my all time favorites.

  • Its so hard to see Abdullah cry who has tormented his opponents for so many years... I hope he's proud that God kept him alive so that he fulfills his dream of being part of the hall of fame...

  • Has anybody here ever eaten at his restaurant? Sports Illustrated did a piece a few years back on restaurants owned by athletes and said the food was really good.

  • 0:43 Hahaha

  • Calos Stallone.... Bet the guys editing the video was fired lol

  • Great to see hin in the Hall... But why oh why did WWE put Drew Carey induction over Abby? At first it was suppoed to be Sunny... And I dont get that either. The WWE has really no respect for the old timers.

  • He is a great guy...Thanks for this awesome interview Abdullah

  • He is a great guy...Thanks for this awesome interview Abdullah

  • Do wrestlers take AIDS tests? I would be concerned getting blood in my mouth.

  • @hoghash78 You don't get AIDS or HIV from getting blood in your mouth, moron.

  • @seikogoldwatch2009 Actually, you can sweetheart.

  • @seikogoldwatch2009 Maybe not blood in the mouth, but when two wrestlers are cut open and their blood gets on each other... That's a real problem. And this was the case in almost every one of Abdullah the Butchers matches over his 60 year career. Billy Graham has gotten Hepatitis C from this business, and Hannibal has actually gotten it from Abdullah the Butcher himself.

  • @itzsovicious Two wrestlers being cut open and getting blood on each other is not a risk for HIV infection. Hepatitis C, sure. HIV, no. Secondly, Abdullah turned 70 this year, so he hasn't been wrestling for 60 years. And, again, as I said, Hepatitis C is not spread only through wrestling. Do you know Hannibal personally? Do you know without certainty that none of his other lifestyle choices led to his Hepatitis C? No, you don't.

  • @seikogoldwatch2009 lol wow my bad, I just read he started wrestling in the 50s, I didn't actually calculate the elementary math to realize it could have been late 50s. Anyways, no I don't know Hannibal personally, but the fact that his tests prior to wrestling with Abdullah came negative, and even after The Butcher agreed to giving blood tests to prove he isn't Hep C positive, he didn't deliver. He's been ignoring the lawyers and calls for a while now. It's just very sketchy.

  • @hoghash78 LOL funny you should mention this on an Abdullah the Butcher video. Go look at the video 'Don't Bleed On Me'. This guy is the potential reason why a guy who could have some day become a legend in the WWE, (Devon 'Hannibal' Nicholson) was never even allowed to come to the WWE. They revoked his contract upon learning that he had contracted Hepatitis C, and many believe it happened during a match against Abdullah, where Abdullah used the same blade on himself and then on Hannibal.

  • First time I've seen this story. Great to see him inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last night. It blew my mind to see the house he grew up in is three blocks from where I live. After watching this, you see now just what a legend he has been as a wrestler, but you see even more, what a classy human being he always has been.

  • @koolaid 28..abdullah was attacked often by fans in puerto rico and the islands...a couple times their were large riots...mostly cuz colon had a huge following and the fans often freaked when he was brutalized..that and refs losing control of matches..

  • When you've seen a man like Abdullah the Butcher break down and cry, you feel touched emotionally.

  • OMG! They spelled Carlos Colon wrong. SMH xD

  • scary as fuck dude when u see him fight and everything but damn such a down to earth guy who never forgets where he came from. every person should respect a guy like him!

  • thank god he's in the hall of fame this year well deserved and well earned!!

  • @chadcinco1 I'm glad abdullah the butcher is in the hall of fame. he deserved it.

  • That's when wrestling presented the illusion that it might be real, It was violent and somewhat believable. Now it's a joke. Guys like Abdullah are dinosaurs. They wouldn't have made it in the business today. It's sad.

  • This worked with all the greats around the world current wrestlers should jealous..

  • A fine example of why you should never judge a book by its cover.

  • we need to bring back the butcher to wwe and hear the crowed say abdullah the butcher!!!

  • One of the original real hard core wrestlers, maybe the first.

  • abbys is cool : hardcore in the ring but a kind people in true life

  • You...will BELIEVE....that even Abdullah the Butcher CAN CRY

  • Calos Stalone ..... wow... just.. wow

  • I had the honor to see Abdullah the Butcher in person in Puerto Rico when he fought numerous times against Calos Colon.Abdullah is the best

  • @RICARDO2781 fuck colon , murderer piece of rotten shit no talent wanabe

  • He is relay professional !!

  • "Calos Stalone"? That's CARLOS COLON, you twit!

  • Damm right, when nobody knew "extreme/hardcore" he was a master of the extreme.

  • wow!

  • Abdullah loves what he does. He is someone to be emulated. He is a nice man and is down to earth. He knows what is important.

  • beautiful story. bless you abdullah. the butcher.

  • I've never got to see Abby perform live. I would have loved to back in the day tho, for sure. He seems like a real cool ass dude.

  • my favorite wrestler of all time abby and my hero i would like to work for Mr. Abdullah my man.

  • wow. i've been scared shitless of this man since the age of 5, back in 1980. now, i see this... what a sweet lil puudycat!!! thnx 4 posting!!!

  • nice guy but a bad ass in that ring...never seen him talk untill now..awsome post..abdullah is one of the best hardcore wrestlers of all time...thanks for lots of cool matches abdullah..

  • In exteme, Abdullah would kick Chuck Norris`s ass!!

  • Thank you for the professionalism and your unique way of entertaining us. Wrestling is not the same today. Glad you and those like you were around then,.

  • this is one guy who was never heel or face, he was simply Abdullah, and I love him.

  • Abdullah is One HELL of a guy.....he's a guy thats all heart, and the kind of guy you'd love yo just sit down and talk to.

  • Aww man..that's from the heart. A Legend we love....Thank you sir!!

  • Awesome. Great documentary. Long Live Abdullah The Butcher. Much love.

  • I'm grateful that Sam Muchnick had the intelligence to keep Abdullah from being booked in St. Louis, the classiest site for pro wrestling.

  • wow thank you for postng this!!!!!!!!!

  • The match at 4:45, looks like Harley Race.

  • What was the match at 4:45?

  • Carlos Stalone, Sylvester's cousin?? Tag team wrestlers? Jeje No way !! Carlos Colon is Carlito Caribbean Cool's dad.

  • I remember being in Atlanta for ECW's PPV in 1998(?). There was an organized event at Abby's restaurant. And I remember driving up to the place, and there's Abby directing cars into the lot. I think about all the violent matches that i saw him in. That moment FOREVER blew my image of him.

But then I got a chance to speak to him a bit later. What a gentleman.

  • there is no Hall of Fame if Wahoo Mc Daniel is not in it........

  • what's remarkable about Abby is that as rough as his matches seem, he was never known for being stiff. Unlike a lot of men his size, he respected his opponents. I didn't know he was so old though, this guy wrestled Lou Thez? I don't even think Ric Flair ever faced him or wrestled during Lou's time. All I know is that he still has a very young face for someone pushing 70.

  • @darthba11er He's actually over 70 years old.

  • Thank you for posting this..... An absolutely amazing look at one of the unsung Giants of Professional Wrestling

  • amazing he's such a soft spoken man.he knows how to seperate the business from his real life.

  • Carlos Stalone ha! get it right, Colon and the other guy was Bruiser Brody geez!

  • One tuber wrote about how he meant Abdullah at a convienient store in Georgia as a child and was scared to death of him. But Abdullah talked to him and made friends with him and his father. He even sent his family tickets to the local wrestling card. He said that they still remain friends today.

  • He's also very deep and sensitive.

  • @sanctainquisitio I met Abby in Allentown PA, all he told me was to stay in school, and then gave me his autograph.

  • @gunnare123 he probably knew what it meant to just not go to school and live a tough life.

  • @sanctainquisitio Yeah, It was weird, that this guy who you see countless times, carving people up, and being violent, and there he was, soft spoken and almost grand fatherly. And his scars are about 10 times more gross in person.

  • @gunnare123 sometimes life forces you to be violent; it's just a reaction to something, but when the cause disappears, so do also the effects.

  • very humble

  • Yeah he'll show up for the right price.

  • @IamUberStein They actually didn't even get the first name right. They had "Calos". Shoddy research, but this was still a good piece, since Abdullah told the stories, mainly.

  • I've watched Abdullah for 35 years, and this is the first time I've heard him speak. Knew about his restaurant, his real name and birthplace in Windsor, but it's still mind-blowing that he is so well-spoken and ... well, human. What marks we all are!

  • @CrankyOldster you ain't kidding! it was just a few years ago i found out he was Canadian, grew up in Windsor, and can actually speak English, lol.

  • @CrankyOldster i feel exactly the same haha

  • if anyone here was around wen he got electrocuted in the halloween havoc electric chair match w/ wcw id luv 2 tlk about it pkeez reply

  • @richieaffs I actually got to talk to Abdullah about this match !! I remember the PPV and asked him about why it was never released on vhs/dvd. It had to do with contracts not signed and Turner Sports not giving him what he asked for.

  • what year was this made it was very good.

  • he was one of the scariest wrestlers when i was kid along with the wild samoans afa and sika.

  • I wonder which territory Abby was most likely to get attacked by fans, or does it even matter. I would think Colon's territory, but it could have have happened anywhere.

  • that is not abbys you moreon

  • He cried! I can't believe how nice he is in person. Long live Abdullah the Butcher!

  • Long Live Abdullah!!! The last bit brought a tear to my eye.

  • @joechilly me too joe, me too.

  • Abdullah has always rocked the wrestling world. He is 1 of the most entertaining wrestlers of all time in my book.

  • Growing up in Puerto Rico back in the 80s I always thought of this guy as this animal / bad guy who was such a freak he always had his manager speak for him (Chicky Rodriguez if I remember correctly). But after this documentary I have nothing but respect for him. Would love to shake his hand some day.

  • Carlos Stalone? I can tell the producers of this documentary aren't wrestling fans

  • ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER FUCKING RULES!

  • he should be in the wwe hall of fame enough said

  • @djkrik well next year the wm is in atlanta and i hear they are having a wcw themed hof who knows might have abdullah inducted

  • @TheRagev3 Well there have been a group called We Want Abdulah in the WWE Hall of fame on facebook and Abby joined the group and said he was not interested to be in the WWE Hall Of Fame.

  • @Flair27 just because he isn't interested doesn't mean he will decline it right?

  • @TheRagev3 Well he said he would refuse to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of fame, however, im sure that for a good sum of money he would probably change his mind ;) Anyway, we all know that Abby is a true hall of famer in our harts and that's whats important :)

  • @Flair27 well ofcourse the cuts in his head prove he will accept! lol =)

  • @djkrik hes in

  • @djkrik I think he is now =-)

  • The ending was real DEEP.....

  • WOW! how they put Calo Stalone instead of CARLOS COLON! worst spelling error ever even abdullah should know how to spell that name his beef n matches with Colon was one of his best..PLus Carlos Colon is a wrestling Legend in Puerto Rico..Abdullah Great wrestler! should be a Hall of Famer

  • WOW how they put Calo Stalone is CARLOS COLON! even abdullah should know how to spell that Name his beef n matches with Carlos Colon was one of the Best..Plus Colon is a Wrestling Legend back in PR Carlitoooooo lol Abdullah great wrestler

  • Abdullah's story on here is great they should come out with a dvd some time soon it would sell good if it's anywhere close to this It should also have all his greatest matches.

  • what a softee a mama's boy! great interview

  • respect

  • Wow, absolutely amazing

  • adbullah cry

  • You wouldn't expect someone with so many head injuries to be so articulate. He is very intelligent.

  • hey mcmahon, you gave abdullah his own action figure. now give him a dvd and a spot in the hall of fame.

  • Wow, some fans are really crazy.

  • I want a job of a "Wrestling Historian".

  • abdullah rules

  • vince is afraid of xtreme wrestling

  • Amazingly he seems like such a heck of a nice down to earth guy.

  • Most of them are. it's a show.

  • Yea, taking out the wwe hall of fame, where is the real hall of fame? Is it Just WWE? I knew the NWA/wcw had theirs.

  • This scar made me this much money. lol. abdullah was the man. back when wresting was wrestling and people didn't bitch about paychecks. did it cuz they lvoed it.

  • Abby has just arrived here at Tokyo, Japan and have a tag team match against another legend, Terry Funk in Tokyo Egg Dome tomorrow on January 4. Abby arrived in Japan for the very first time in 1970, which means it's just 40 years since his first arrival. Terry also arrived in the very same year, but Abby has been wrestling here every year except for in 1986. He claims to be retired in P.R. and Canada, but being still around here and says, " I will never quit in Japan" We will see it!!!

  • he seems to be a really a sweet nice person.

  • Abdullah was extreme before EXTREME was EXTREME!!!

  • Thank you for posting. It is amazing who these legends really are outside the ring. I remember watching Abdullah and I use to get terrified anytime I heard one of my heroes were going to wrestle him. I was a kid back then but I knew he was dangerous. You always knew there was going to be a lot of blood lost when you wrestled him.

  • You and me both. That man scared the living crap out of me every time I saw him on tv when I was little. That's how intense his character is. I remember one of the bloodiest feuds ever was with Carlos Colon, from Puerto Rico. I remember seeing stabbing with the fork on Colon's forehead.

    Cheers

  • "When i can't produce, then i get out"

If more legends/hall of famers had that attitude, their retirements would be more genuine. Not having a thousand "return/retirement" matches with no authenticity to them

    Pete

  • did butcher kill caktis jack my frend sed he did? sorry bout speling im 7 yeers old.

    barry harrwitz wood beet him.

  • he's abdullah and he's awesome!!!

  • great upload

this is better than any made up movie

  • Puerto Rico Love you Abdullah, You the Best... Since i was 6 years old (1982) You my idol, Those match in san juan, Bayamon, Ponce Remember? i really hope i can make it to georgia and met you one day to your restaurant, im in florida now. Wish u the best.

  • His matches wit carlos colon the invader and many others were the ones that made wrestling in PR so important that people like Kane , Val Venis, Yokozuna,The wild samoans(both generations), Randy Savage, Ric Flair among others consider PR as a school for real pro wrestling on this side of earth.(Japan being the other place along with mexico)

  • Excellent series. Thank you for posting!

  • that was great !!!

  • Say what you want about STING but Abdullah is a Legend that ALSO never worked for WWE/F. EVER! Yet we only recognize Sting..

  • I never thought id EVER see Abby Cry...

  • when i was a kid back in the 80s, Abdullah scared the hell out of me. i met him years later for an autograph, when he shook my hand and started talking to me with a big smile, it blew my freakin mind, hes a great guy, one of the most kind people i have ever met. ive met a lot of wrestlers, but meeting Abby, and Ivan Koloff stand out in my book as the 2 most kind and friendly of them all.

  • he should be in the wwe wrestling hall of fame. hes the best of the best.

  • he is a legend and he should be in WWE hall of fame, but the problem is he didnt was or had a match in wwe, because this i dont think so he will be there

  • His matches have too much blood for me. Him and Carlito Colon have had probably the most bloodiest matches ever.

  • he is a real man and a great wrestler. u don't see that much today. he may have done it for the money and fame a little bit but he never forgot where he came from.

  • This is such a surprising & refreshing & a great piece on a wrestler. What a great man he is. It would be disillusioning if this were done during his heyday. Such a sweet guy, especially his describing how he wants to leave this world with a tear. Thanks for those who took the time in creating this. I feel very inspired that there are great souls like Larry Shreeve(Abdullah)& that he is not such a bad guy out of the ring!!!

  • My thoughts exactly! So weird to see a man capable of making such disturbing matches as a gentleman...and a sensitive one at that.

  • عبدالله الجزار اسطورة المصارعه

  • i was scared when i met him at his restaraunt but if u whatch the last 25 seconds he is a sweet guy with giant family ties. he has done what he had to do to keep his family up and running, and that he wants to be near his family at death i think that is the one thing that could ever make him cry and that is his parents dying. he is so family oriented

  • in abdullah video part 3 at 4:23 appear calos stalone, as a mistake due to announcer pronuciation, well he is not, is carlos colon father of wwe stars carlito and primo colon, long time in ring foe to abby!

  • all of these dead wrestlers over the last 25 years...abby is alive and thriving. he did not need steroids to get himself over. all time great.

  • Comment removed

  • I've heard many stories of fans who have meet Abdullah and not one person has spoken ill of him. They all say he was very nice and a soft spoken gentleman.

  • lol it was kinda funny at the end the way he described how he wanted to go;

he was like ("take my ashes go to my mother and fathers grave and sprinkle "chickabuooo")

  • he said take em to japan but he was crying already so his words got distorted

  • i know but hes a real nice guy; i want meaning for it to make it sound like i was makin fun of em

  • Good to hear Abdullah The Butcher speak in an interview. It's amazing he is still wrestling with the amounts of blood he lost during many of the wildest hardcore matches he has ever been in. A hardcore legend and a true gentleman outside the ring, believe it or not. I didn't know he's Canadian. Those graphic scars on his head have certainly been his trademark look during his career.

  • He'd give the old ECW a run for their money.

  • Abdullah made his history in Japan!

Every Japanese never forget his glory!

  • LOL, it looks like Abdullah has the most scars cause of fans!!

  • Abdullah is right on. He's a classy guy. He's right no matter if your'e Bill Gates or Donald Trump we're all going to end up in the same place buried in a grave or cremated.

  • Damn Thanks for this video. in 4:18 that guy nameis Carlos Colon, Puerto Rican Legend. 24 times universal champion and the Abdullah's longest feud. Also father of Carlito and Primo Colon.
