Hmm i tought, that only blue and red came out? Is the sunburst for Japanese market only? Are there more differences beside the color of those the pawn shop mustangs or only color differences?
@okamasphere that's easy to say if you live in the u.s.a ,in the u.k a u.s.a guitar can put an extra £500 on it.I have been tempted to go over to the states and get myself a gibson acoustic and not declare to customs in case of tax.if you want a gibson dove or jl 200 in the u.k your gonna pay at least £2000,how much could i pick one up in an american pawn shop
@hanghang71 I dont think you would pick up a gibson dove in an american pawn shop, most the pawn shops here in america carry garbage guitars, that are way over priced for what they are, at least where I live.
Vintage stuff all suck. Everything moves forward and gets better. People are sold on this idea that vintage is good. Pickup a vintage guitar...it plays like shit.
@gorfjorf2112112 Hold on, you mean every vintage guitar plays like shit? This is what I love about the internet, it allows me to get info straight from the experts...
@thepman28 Depends, today when companies manufacture guitars, the process is consistent, whereas vintage ones tend to be a little inconsistent, kinda like an Analog vs Digital debate, although less clear cut
How about some more useful facts. I think most people know what tone and volume knobs do, and what Pickups do. How about telling us what the pawn shop series is all about. What they are suppose to represent. And maybe how they differ from what they emulate. For example.. What type of fret wire. etc.
@swingcow1 same here! I'm pressed for money right now and can't afford it as of yet. I know they won't be selling for long just like the Cyclone. I'm still searching for one of those in yellow LOL
@learntofly55 not really, fender's best guitars really do come from japan. the american ones have gotten so so so much worse in quality in the past 30 years(specifically strats), so much worse in fact, they are the same quality as mexican ones, which were always poorly made
@dragantoe I'm sorry to be rude but, that's a load of crap. I'm not going to argue with you about Fender's american guitars going down over the last 30 years because I don't know much about that. But (and, I've owned and played both so I know about this) there is NO WAY that I can agree with you about the mexican ones being the same quality as the american ones. But, I CAN agree that the japanese ones are really pretty good.
