  • St. James and Museum stations are listed on the NSW Heritage website. NSW Heritage offers advise on sites, objects, etc., significant to the people of NSW. There are items within the station with heritage listing, I'm not entirely sure but, the entire site probably has heritage listing. It won't be changed.

Museum railway station is spooky too.

  • The real Station is Yonge-Bloor station in Toronto. I should know I was there last night.

  • @Iceyguy101 Appearance in movies and real thing can be heavily altered. From IMBD the movie was mostly filmed in Sydney and a few scenes were filmed in Nashville and San Fran.

The real station is actually Muesum Station in Sydney although I reckon Platform 25,26 at Central Terminal would be a better place for the scene.

  • where is this?

  • its not the same train they used in the movie ,, they used an old decommisioned intercity single decker from the 50s ,, look at the old style parkbrake wheel on the front when the train man drives past in the next matrix movies

  • did they really do it there i didnt think so it doesnt really look like it

  • Nope, i'm pretty certain it was actually Museum Station which is similar and only the next stop over. In fact, even Wikipedia agrees with me........

  • haha thats riight!

i forgot which one but i knew it was one of them :D

  • @hana494 The real train station used in the Matrix is yonge and bloor station in toronto

  • yeah go bomb it, then jump off get the next one back do the same.

  • There's a certain charm to the eerie green glow...

  • It's the only station on that line that has it!

  • not far from my work! xjoeyx

  • Onya!

  • awesome stuff man! but why would they renovate it? they should make it like historic or something. :P

  • This was a very old station. Maybe to accomodate new equipment like ticket lanes...

    Cheers!

  • Yikes!

    Creepy!

    LOL!

  • Did you see Mr. Smith?

  • You noticed him in red shirt and black leather hat?

    LOL!

  • St James is part of the station. Most of it was CGI'd out. St James looks good in matrix as it is ominous. It is supposedly haunted. The wide platform used to be 2 platforms for a third rail track that was supposed to go up through Hyde Park, up ANZAC parade, past the Fox studios all the way to Rainbow Stree in Randwick. After Jack Lang (built the harbour bridge) left office, the next premier scrapped all the plans in reaction to spending. +^+^+

  • Is St James station really where the matrix was? xD Thats so cool if it is haha :P I see you were on a Tangara :P I love trains :)

  • Yes they shot the scene here involving the trains coming and going. They replicated the destruction in the studio for Special FX.

    Tangara FTW!

    Cheers!

  • dude thats not a tangara thats an Sset,, notice the open window the front right side of train ,, no air con

  • O yea, my bad ^^ I got mixed up wif da seats lol, i forgot Tangara's have the gay non moving seats -.- lol Tangaras are ment to have better features :@ lol i got mixed up xD hehe :D

  • That brings back memories of "The Matrix" indeed. Too bad the sequels were too convoluted for their own good. They're changing a bit of real life movie magic. :-(

  • Thanks, Neil!

  • i've been on that train station, and those train, but never so empty

  • The St James and Museum stations were used for the movie, Jeff! Yes, it is always busy 24/7 with crowds and crowds of people! That's why this was a rare video!

    Cheers, mate!

  • I just had de-ja vu.

  • LOL!

    Just like in the movie!

    Cheers, mate!
