who are we to say what a private company can or cannot do with its own product. So if car companies are labeling their cars as environmentally-friendly, are they also breaching some sort of public trust? Tobacco companies are causing millions of deaths each year and we are worried about google supporting al gore. And it says "explore impact of climate change on Google Earth". So it's a function that Google Earth can carry. If you don't want to learn about climate change, don't click on it.

And he also on the Board of directors of Google. Furthermore the link is not displayed as a advertisement but a direct link that starts playing the video without user intervention. This is scandal!

Fine I will give you the lack of user intervention part about the video. But since when did Google become a public service? You probably need to check your dictionary but conflict of interest can only occur if an organization is entrusted with impartiality. Unless Google has explicitly claimed that the information is unbiased on its website or that it works for the government, then there is no conflict of interest.

Conflict of interest is not permitted in any form of media. A blogger who receives ANY in kind payment to review a product must by law disclose that fact. Stars promoting products must disclose when being paid for opinions. I not arguing Google is a public service, I am arguing it is a dishonest and conflict of interest to have that link disguised as information without disclosure of conflicts. Google is being impartial in an dishonest way. Why do you stand here and support dishonesty so much?

Well, I'm sorry if I AM a hypocryte, but at least I'm a hypocrite who isn't ignorant about SCIENTIFIC facts about global warming, nor am claiming that there is a COOLING TREND instead. Seriously, why are you so against global warming? Are you saying that it's a propaganda for canada's economic revenu? Then tell me, what was the point of the kyoto accord? I am against global warming because its a bunch of socialist bull crap. What government on the planet isnt looking for a way to take more money out of your pocket? If you looked at Copenhagen, it was NEVER about the science, it was about all the countries lined up at the pig trough divvying up the spoils of hopefully this new taxation system. This green BS is bad because by slapping a green sticker on their policies means they can sell it to you. The Bio fuel fiasco is an perfect example.

Countries spend billions of tax dollars subsidizing Bio fuels under the guise of green. Weve had food riots rights in parts of the world this year. Costs of basic foodstuffs have more then doubled. The World Bank estimates vast majority of the huge cost rise in foodstuffs has been due to pushing Bio fuels. One tank of bio fuel in an SUV is enough food to feed approx. 4 people for one year. They just slap a green sticker on any government policy and they can sell it to suckers like you.

Looking at the link and the response it had, I'm just AMAZED at how they immediately say "It's a cooling trend!" yet they miss what the author wrote at the end. Someone said no matter what changes the climate is going through, the, "result of climate-skeptics efforts is that they remove all impetus to ever develop cleaner, renewable means of generating power and more efficient technologies." Which made me question, "What are ppl like YOU trying to do? What good are you bringing to the world?"
