my friends parents live in the house they were talking about in this video.. we used to go on hayrides there every halloween, the exact location of this cry baby bridge is in Parish, Il. there's nothing scary at all about this place, lol. we used to walk down there and hang out all the time, never herd a baby cry or anything... just an urban legend.
How come there is alot of bridges known as Crybaby bridge in every state. What is the true story that has the true cry baby bridge because i want to go investigate it and get the investigation caught on tape
been out here lots im 16 and it doesnt seem like nothin is here just bridge might be few satin worshipers and metal heads who hang out here and do fucked up stuff on halloween but thats it xD
yeah there is one in georgia and i saw another in ohio, and the story always changes but the crying baby is the same that is such bs im sorry but those are just legends that pass from generation to generation.
hey i went to a cry baby bridge in illinois and we put baby powder on our bumper and put our car in neutreul at the end of the bridge and it pushed us across it was so creepy then when we got out to check there was hand prints on the back of the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oklahoma has a few bridges itself. The closest one to me is in Martha. It crumbled. I think they're gonna fix it. Some say now if you go there, you'll see figures hovering on where the bridge was intact.
It's funny, the other Cry Baby Bridge legend in Ohio states that it was a WOMAN who killed her child not a man. Clearly folklore but still a thrill to see.
One of my friends told me about a scary story that took place in Flordia called Cry Baby Bridge. Sometime in the early
1900's a woman was pregnat by her boyfriend and in those times it was shamed to be pregant without being married. When the woman presented this to her boyfriend the man said he didn't want anything to do with her and the baby. She jumps off the bridge with the baby and they both die. They say to this day that when you go by the bridge that you hear a baby crying.
its a mother that jumped takeing her and her babs likfe if u go out the at 12:00 and yoll i illed your baby you a. hear the baby cry or b. see the mother come after you and c. your doors to your car will lock get your facts right -.-
i live south of monmouth, have been around monmouth all my life. the REAL story is a mother took her childs life by throwing it off the bridge, told her husband and he killed het too. He later then HUNG not SHOT himself in his barn, (bueffords barn) this barn has been decided unsafe and buldozed in many years ago. your car WILL move across the bridge but your doors WONT lock. the baby still haunts it. get your facts right --
There's a Cry Baby bridge in nearly every state. It's just folklore, but it's still cool. Sorry but those who truly believe will have to explain why it's all over the country.
I'll answer that question with another question. If it's just folklore then, explain why we're all over the country? We had to have come from somewhere, some beleive god put us here, others believe we came from other means. Evidence of our exsistance comes from different things, and so does what people can consider evidence of these "folklore". Some people just convince themselves that it's not true just like many do with lots of things, anything proven can shot down but so can things that arent
Had my attention till you got the house part, maybe you see it cause it's next to a barn mistaken for a house... and that guy isn't a very good investigator..whats the point in doin the investigation during the daytime?
I will admit, nighttime investigations are really cool to do! But there is no "law" that states ghosts only come out at night! The Ghost Research Society actually met the people telling the story that day...There was supposed to be someone else leading the day long retreat, but something came up and we had a substitute. We had a good time in Benton taking in the stories and folklore of the area.
Alright, yeah I agree with you there, could be just that so much of the evidence well what is considered evidence can be caught at night as to when you do it during the day you get little to no results, could be the "lost souls" come out at night because that is what the "evil" or "dark forces" we all hear and talk about do their trickery at night to be hidden and harder to be discovered, just like we the living who do such acts do mostly at night.
this is pretty funny i live in parrish (about 2 miles from crybaby bridge and i always heard that the mother instead of the father did all that. heh legends are funny arnt they? ps i have personally heard a baby cry around there.
The "Cry Baby" thing is VERY common around southern Illinois apparently. Between McL & Macedonia there is a supposed "Cry Baby Lane" Never heard or felt anything out there & I'm a moderate sensitive...try The Old Slave House, if you can find a way to be allowed in, that would be an amazing place to get started.
very true about the slave house. great haunted place although dont use a wiji board there! crazy shit will happen........ im a guest in the teen paranormal investigative group t.i.p.s and it was really wild crap!!!!
Thanks for the info! We will have to do some research to find a way into that old slave house. If we get in keep an eye on the page for videos! I havent updated much on here lately, but 2009 promises to be a big year for the Ghost Research Society so there will be plenty of things to come!
first of all if your going to call yourself ghost research society learn your facts what happend is a horse carriege wrecked with a women and her baby and they drowned in the icy waters below get your facts straigt
There is also a version where the mother was unwed and was forced to give her baby up, but instead threw it over the bridge. That's just what I heard. Not saying it's true, though.
Hey Ghost Research Society I have lived in benton all my life and besides the baby story the other story regarding the house and the supposed murder that occurred in the last few years is a bullshit, next time get a better guide that knows what their talking about, these people are feeding you a load of crap.
Thank you for the reply! The GRS was called from Chicago to go out to Benton to help out a local group who are just getting their feet wet in "the business". If you know anything else about the goatman and would like to share please send me a comment. Thank you!
The guy in the red shirt sure was a sharp one! Too bad he was too scared to stay in Illinois though...He had to move to Kentucy from sheer fright! LOL! Take care man!

True statement. There is a Cry Baby Bridge in quite a few states, but it's still cool to be on site where something allegedly paranormal takes place.

@xflexx1
the one in south caroilna has documentation to back it up, though...
two bad setup's...one was a woman who killed herself and her child..
alot of people get evp's from her...the second was a group of teenagers that were raped/killed on the site...and they're still talking too...
