Set the bowl up and let the glass get hot before putting your material in it. Then put the bag on. Also, I have found that you get way milkier bags with the lower fan settings.

You don't have that when you vape which is healthier, some people say that there is something "missing" while vaping. Or you can run your vape at a higher temp to milk it up a bit more, it's all preference. But i'd look into the extreme Q if you can't afford the volcano. It's what i'm about to buy after my finals are over.
@kellerb1717 use the whip action forget the bag, the whip is the way to go, also a nice trick is to use the whip and hold it into a nice water bong( where the male piece normally goes) and its probably the cleanest hit you can take
Lol I have almost the same setup as you, Arizer Extreme Q and the same sized sharpstone. You put big bowls in the thing though, I barely cover a quarter and get like 5 bags (Thats like p3 lol) Usually gets me ripped as fuck with good chron (1-3 bags)
@YGhostY9 yah for me, at 245 and fan level 2 wrks the best. because the heat thing is several inches from when it actually touches the herb. so between 240-250 the vapor is super thick and nice. between 220-235 its not as thick. persona preference on thickness of vapor.

what fan speed do you use? We just got this and are playing around with the settings and where to pack it. it seems like you are getting quite a bit more vapor in the bag than we are. For the price I think this thing blows away the Volcano... $600 is outrageous...
We also have tried packing the elbow connection and the taste is way better. If you are looking for a good vaporizer, this is a very good alternative... Also, all the parts are glass, so no plastic to worry about.
Only half the smell of a normal session will be present in your room / smoking area.
With a bong,joint, bubbler you are smoking plant material and that leaves a potent, strong, obvious smell. With the vaporizer, the smell will be tame, maybe 30% of the smell compared to 100% smell with bong,joint,bubbler. Just so you know. Yes and no. It is a different high. A good kind of different. Hard to explain because the vape heats up the material so it can release the vapor, and with a lighter to a bong, it just torches whatever is in the bowl, such as leaves on the bud might make you cough, whereas in the vaporizer it would be smooth hitting.
It's slightly shorter, the fan noise is reduced by 77% I believe, it has three heat sensors instead of one. a new and better lcd screen. uses 50% less energy I believe and might of a missed something not sure. It's also slightly shorter and has a more appealing look, but same basic design.
It's an awesome vap. First one i've owned and just picked it up a couple weeks ago (the extreme Q). I got it for $200,

Not it does not. I think I heard someone say you can leave a bag sit for 40 mins or so and it'll still be good. It eventually does but you have plenty of time to smoke it before it does.

@assmuncher1984 Volcanoes are overpriced because they are German Imports. They don't work any differently (or better) than the Extremes, and they have less capabilities like rgreez said, and Extremes are $250 less expensive. I prefer my Extreme over my buddy's Volc, and truthfully, he wishes he got mine too. =)

@tore353 I like the Extreme Q, simply because it does exactly what the Volcano does with the bags, but also has a whip for direct hits, a bowl for burning Potpourri, came with a grinder (depends on where you get it), etc, and it's cheaper by a couple hundred bucks than a Volcano. Pretty much the best I've used to far. Volcano is just as good for its purpose, but much more expensive for no apparent reason other than it being an imported product. Since you have a Volcano, no reason to change.

i am serious tho dudes...... pack it in the pipe shaped thing with the short tubing that the bag goes onto. it only fills one bag but it fills it THICK THICK THICK :) and its sooooooooooo tasty n potent. when you have it in the vortex bowl, the hole is only in the middle. when you pack it in the screen. the hot air is forced to go over ALL of the bud, and doesnt let the air through as quick, letting the bud heat more
WITH BAGS!!! pack the bud into the screen of the thing that the bag goes on. NOT THE VORTEX BOWL pack it tight enough so it doesnt fall out, and fill up your bag at 428 for perfectly dried and cured buds.... for dryer buds i do like 400 and turn it to 410 halfway through. i dont vape or smoke really wet buds, its pointless as the thc has not matured.
with whips start at like 390 and turn it up one click every 2 hits....
i don't really get wet buds that much (bad to me) i stick to fully dry ones... but if you want a thicker vape just turn the heat up a lil and you will be good...
It is possible to get a good bag with the right method :p Don't doubt this amazing machine.

totally agree with packing the whip screens vs the bowl on the extreme - much less substance consumed - gr8 vaporization with whip @ 200C for single-hits - love this thang ;) peace!

i only put in like a bowel .3 maybe .4 and i use it everyday i can't seem to find any flaws to this the difference i think from the v tower extreme is there is no digital screen and has no remote but i'm not sure...

shit bro i tried the Volcano it dose work really well but not no 6 or 7 bills worth i got my vape for 250 @ my smoke shop and this works just as good as the volcano and it can do more then jus fill up a bag if i were you i would just get the Extreme Vape leme know what you go with and how you like it...

i am serious tho dudes...... pack it in the pipe shaped thing with the short tubing that the bag goes onto. it only fills one bag but it fills it THICK THICK THICK :) and its sooooooooooo tasty n potent. when you have it in the vortex bowl, the hole is only in the middle. when you pack it in the screen. the hot air is forced to go over ALL of the bud, and doesnt let the air through as quick, letting the bud heat more

WITH BAGS!!! pack the bud into the screen of the thing that the bag goes on. NOT THE VORTEX BOWL pack it tight enough so it doesnt fall out, and fill up your bag at 428 for perfectly dried and cured buds.... for dryer buds i do like 400 and turn it to 410 halfway through. i dont vape or smoke really wet buds, its pointless as the thc has not matured.
with whips start at like 390 and turn it up one click every 2 hits....
i just vaped a bag of lemon diesel.... :)

i don't really get wet buds that much (bad to me) i stick to fully dry ones... but if you want a thicker vape just turn the heat up a lil and you will be good...
