WOW Soul Asylum doing country. Now that is cool. I like all kinds of music, I am a musician myself so to see others appreciate work of others is amazing.
Saw them outside in the rain on New Haven green a couple of years ago. They played the Beatles song Rain. And any other song they could think of that referenced rain. Funny. Fun. Loose. Messy. Awesome.
I think it's because musicians appreciate other musicians' work. Honestly, I think bands who do not perform a cover in their show are big-headed obnoxious egomaniacs.
And by the way, there are original songs in this show performed by the band. You don't expect this show to last for just 4 minutes, right? Or maybe you don't have enough life, experience, or balls to do a simple YouTube search.
YOU GUYS ACTUALLY GOT TO SEE SOUL ASYLUM?! YOU LUCKY PUKES! ;-) What do we gotta do to get em out to SoCal? These guys never really got the recognition they deserved...shame. I just love em. The more I hear of their old stuff, the better I like them.
Yours came out better than mine. I was right in front of you recording it. I turned my camera sideways thinking I was taking a picture (forgot I was shooting a video, not a picture) so part of it came out sideways.
This is kinda wierd, but they pulled it off!

thanks for posting this! Soul Asylum is truly one of the greatest band to grace the earth. I've lost track of how many times I have seen them live.
