This song has as much juice now as it did when it came out. Sad that Walter Egan couldnt match this with another big hit. Got Stevie and Lindsey backing vocals, nice sound and feel. Played it at dirt late model race campground recently, had surrounding people who remembered it singing along. Younger ones kind of looked at us funny, but with what they got to listen to nowadays,most of them truly dont know good jams.

Walter Egan was a game show contestant in the 80s. He won four games on the short lived US version of Catch Phrase in 1985(Catch Phrase was popular in the UK a few years back when it aired there) and on the game show version of Scrabble in the 80s. Charlie Tuna was the announcer on Scrabble and remembered this hit single.

Egan was introduced to Lindsey Buckingham at a party, Egan, a fan and admirer of Lindsey Buckingham's guitar work on Fleetwood Mac (1975), expressed interest in having Buckingham produce and work on his debut solo album. Buckingham recalled in 1982, "His first album was called Fundamental Roll and I was involved with that on the fringe. Stevie Nicks was also involved, became a friend, and contributed backing vocals to Fundamental Roll.
