I DO, however, agree with you that the media uses unfortunate circumstances to boost ratings at times and use the whole "shock and awe" factor.....sad, which is why we completely did away with TV over a year ago. Our family doesn't even watch it....and quite honestly, the first few weeks were strange, but we could care less. The kids prefer reading and family game nights. On weekends, I teach them tennis or do other outdoor activities.
