The picture at 3:11 is in the main office at my high school. I always choked up whenever I saw it, even if I didn't go in there much. I really liked being able to hear all the reactions to this event, even if they were filled with fear and sadness. I am a very proud American and granddaughter of 2 WWII/Korean vets.

On September 11th, 2001, I was serving as an Army recruiter in Jackson TN. I had just got to the office when the phones began ringing off the hook! I am still in the Army (17+ years) currently serving in Arizona. I deployed various locations in Iraq (2005-2006). Thanks for the comment.

Hmm, perhaps you should Google "September 11, 2001" or "9-11". On that day in history over 3,000 Americans were killed in New York City, Washington D.C., and a field in Pennsylvania. Do soldiers want to die in Iraq, Iran, or Afganistan? Of course not, BUT we are willing to do so to ensure that another terrorist attack does not occur on American soil.

I am proud to be an American as well as the(younger) sister of the greatest American Soldier.
