dude! how do you do this. Like what do you use. I'm in the process of making an hour long movie but i need affects like this. And i don't know how. i'm really good with computers, but i don't know how to do this. could you tell me?
One of my favorites! In my opinion it looks "realistic" to me because the effect doesn't have any unnaturally colored lights or anything, just ripples of force, and is subtle but believable. Great job.
What did you use as the shockwave? Caustics? I have been looking up how to make ripples and what not but I can only make them manually by complex layers, masks, and keyframes. Is there an easier way?
Here's a tip: You should probably find somewhere that isn't your house to go and film. You can only really use the same location once before it gets old in my opinion. A proper location will make your videos just that much better! Also, try giving the camera to a friend of somebody and moving it around. Even though it's a bit more work to track the effects to the footage, it helps sell the effect so much more!
