luck and skill are in huge variance during poker, there are times when skill cannot be applied ( cold decks, and setup hands), and times where luck cannot be applied, (drawing dead), we all know its impossible to know what someone has in there hand at all times, all we can do is make calculated and thoughout predictions, if anything that is where the skill is in determining how strong or weak your opponents are in each specific hand, where in most hands this info is even still irrelevant.

bullshit. Poker is about 80/20. 80 percent skill 20 percent luck. Put Roger Federer against any tennis player in the world and he will win 99.99999% of the time. put Tony G against me and i have about a 20% chance of beating him. To me that isn't the qualification for skill game.

Poker is in no way a sport I won a so called on line tournament (so called tournament i sat there and played top 10 all in p. hellmuth) and a pub tournament that was $1000 prize at the end. I also play part time as a way to get cash in $2/$4 stakes. Theres no way you can call it a sport NO WAY. You can be drunk and intoxicated and win. You can be high of drugs and win. You can mentally disabled and win.

@alsbo1931 But lets be really brief here. Try doing all of the above and win any of the olympic sports against yourself at normal state and you will not win. You can't win 100 hands in a row without some sort of luck against any 6 people.  It's 70% skill 30% luck.
