@thehfactory Why must you assume that? That was totally uncalled for and rude. My husband used to put the cd on and I didn't know who they were, but liked the album. I would always ask "who is this"? Then OK Computer came out, he bought that cd, and I really got into them then. As for The Bends going huge? No offense but this song, every remix, and the standard king of limbs album are absolute shit, this is maybe the best techno-electronic (or however you want to call it) ever made, but its not Radiohead anymore, I think their need to constantly change their sound has taken them to the lowest pick of their work.

@necroyoli08 I respectfully disagree, mostly. In my opinion TKOL is amazing, and definitely not techno. The RMX's are generally not up to the Radiohead standards, but they are still good, and they offer a diversity of different electronic genres.

I do not think they "need" to change their sound all the time. I think it feels pretty natural to them :)

@huliheaden Ok, but just think about this: where the hell is Johnny Greenwood ???, I mean Johnny is not ment (to me) to be behind a laptop making weird (cool actually) techno sounds, he shoud be making the guitar soung like a keyboard or the other way around (like in Myxomatosis), I'm just saying that since Ok Computer and Kid A they have not been able to beat or even match those 2 albums, so all I'm saying is that, even though the album is not "bad", is kinda lame for Radiohead.

@necroyoli08 That is a common opinion, and I can completely understand that. For me, though, Jonny Greenwood doesn't have a specific place in the band for me. Maybe that's because I started listening to them only a few weeks before TKOL, listening to HTTT and Amnesiac, so while I knew Jonny was a talented guitarist, I did not know that his guitar skills were such a big part of Radiohead once. So I'm used to the fact that Jonny is everywhere. And he is amazing at being everywhere.

@huliheaden Oh yes, Johnny is great being everywhere, and that is what makes him so awsome, but if we are talking about composition you should listen to Kid A or Ok Computer, also check out The Bends, its Radiohead most emotional album, not so amazingly ambitious, but it has a lot of soul, Ok Computer (my favourite) is like the perfect balance between genius composition and feeling, and Kid A is just brilliant, if you check it out you'll definetly get what I say about TKOL not being up to them

@necroyoli08 Actually, I have the whole discography. The thing about having only listened to HTTT and Amnesiac was before TKOL came out. OK Computer is a miracle just like Kid A, but I personally like TKOL the best. It's such a great contrast to In Rainbows (Which is fucking amazing too!) :)

Love the intro section that repeats midway through, but other than that the production and ideas don't carry the track enough. There's been so much amazing techno coming out of Germany and eastern Europe this past 7 years that tackling this genre is a big hill to climb.

I'm not sure if the remix is supposed to be 'retro', but for me it sounds like techno I'd heard pre-2004...bit of an Underworld vibe about it.
