    , cute, tough, she's got to be able to sing, dance, and act like she's the way you're seeing her all of the time. ''

  • Recently, I have watched two movies by Ginger Rogers: "Swing Time" and "The Major & The Minor". One is musical, the other comedy. Ginger was great in both movies. I love the dances, songs, music, characters, and stories. These old movies are very classy. I'm going to get "Stage Door".

  • @ichimonjiguy I love "The Major & The Minor" too & "Stage Door" is a classic...I have seen it tons of times..I love it & I think you will too!! I haven't seen "Swing Time" but I would like to see it oneday. :)

    God Bless!

    Katie =^,,^=

  • @BadZKarma99 "The Major & The Minor" is great fun to watch. Ginger played a quick witted, street smart young woman. The scenes I remember: mister, how do you like to make two bits? I like it just fine. And, "my own theory of the fall of France. The big Maginot line and the samll Maginot line". And, "I got kicked out of every school in East and one in Arizona. Say, you're a murder!" "Let me look into your eyes. Guess what I saw? Stardust. Lieutenant, you dazzled me ." ... Ha Ha, it's too funny.

  • @ichimonjiguy I agree with you there are many funny moments in that movie...I haven't seen it in awhile so thanks for reminding me how funny it is!! I'm gonna have to watch it soon!! :)

    God Bless!!

    Katie =^,,^=

  • To me Miss Rogers is the most fantastic lady in the motion picture industry. Glamour, talent, musicality, grace, charm, beauty in abundance. A kind human being, a one of a kind. Smart, witty, lovely in every way. She is very much missed and I am grateful that we once had her to recreate our world with her presence. This is a nice tribute to her. Thank you!

  • @PureSoapCleans Thank you so much for your kind words for Ginger...I agree with everything you said. You're right the world was lucky to have her & we are lucky to have all her wonderful movies & pictures to remember her by. I'm glad you like my video so much!! :)

    God Bless!

  • Actresses of this calibers of their time is uncomparable no offense to modern actresses but as for me well known actresses of 1940 up to 1970 are beautiful and talented, they can act drama, comedy, they can dance they are mostly all around atresses there will be no others Ginger Rogers that can ever copied or imitate her acting now a days

  • @ceboym I agree with you actresses today can't hold a candle to actresses back in the golden age of Hollywood..it's a shame we don't have actresses like that today..I think they also made better movies back then.

    Ginger Rogers was one of a kind..she had so many talents & was such a great actress!! :)

    God Bless!!

    Katie =^,,^=

  • Carole Lombard is my favorite. But I like Ginger too.

  • She was beautiful, clever and so talented and she said;

    “When two people love each other, they don't look at each other, they look in the same direction”

    “The only way to enjoy anything in this life is to earn it first”

    “Part of the joy of dancing is conversation. Trouble is, some men can't talk and dance at the same time.”

  • @Starrman69 Thanks for the kind comments about Ginger & thanks for posting the quotes..I love what she said!! :)

    God Bless!!

    Katie =^..^=

  • @Starrman69 There is one woman in 30s-40s that was the equal/better dancer than G.R. & that was Elenor Powell. She teamed with Astaire after he & G.R. said good-bye. E.P. was tall, talented and the best tap dancer since "Bojangles Robinson."

  • @aellarex Eleanor was quite a lady, you can find quite a bit of info on her on the 'net:

    She dropped out to raise their (She and Glenn Ford) son, Peter Ford

    Although I can't post the links here, they're out there.

    Too bad she died so young

  • I miss Ginger, I so wish I could've been alive back then to see her <3

  • I love Ginger Rogers too and this song by Sinatra and Tommy Dorsey is wonderful and fits so well.

  • @Abbeysums Hi!! I am a big fan of Ginger Rogers too & when I chose the song I wanted one that fit the era she lived in & then I thought of the movie "I'll Be Seeing You" which she costarred with Joseph Cotten & I knew that was the song I would use. I'm glad you liked my video so much!! :)

    God Bless!!

  • What a wonderful tribute to Ginger Rogers...She was known by most as Fred Astaire's Dance partner but after the team seperated, Ginger proved she was a great actress in Dramas and Comedies as well.. The song song by Frank Sinatra is most fitting:)

  • @videowatcher077 Thanks so much for your kind comments about my video & about Ginger!! You're right Ginger certainly proved that she was a magnificent actress & dancer. I really love the song & I thought since Ginger was in a movie called "I'll Be Seeing You" (which is a great drama) I thought the song was very fitting.
