That's survival instinct. You follow a group because you need to survive as a group. that's why a group, particularly tribes, always can survive better compared to a sole survivor

At the time when this was recorded I believe you'd have an easier time laughing at such things because 'funny videos' in the form of fail-videos, magic done right videos and so on and so forth weren't easily obtainable. The reason that - today in this day and age - we don't laugh, some chuckle, and some of us really laugh, lies within the conscious mind where different tastes in humor appear. Not really that much of an asch within asch experiment :)
