Hi I am a student occupational therapist, and am considering using both the FM and WMFT as outcome measures for my research proposal. I was hoping to use them within a community setting (in clients own home) do you think this would pose any problems. also how long does each test take and what tools are needed?

I hope that no therapists or other clinicians are using this video to learn how to do the Fugl-Meyer. There are so many starting position problems that any score garnered would be garbage in.

Pete, You have a great point - there is definitely controversy about the starting position and it can be a source of error. We would welcome any suggestions you have used to standardize your own procedures. It would certainly help the greater research and clinical community if there is collaboration on these types of issues. Looking forward to reading your new stroke book - sounds great.
