I fully agree! The transformation in "On Leather Wings" was the moment I knew for sure that "Batman: The Animated Series" was on of the best shows ever made!! What came before in that first episode was pretty damn good but that...WOW!!! Whereas this one feels like a typical cartoon transformation. But that doesn't change the fact that this series is a timeless classic!!!
