That was a great review of the HTC hero. I had the LG Optimus S, but I suffered water damage. So, now I am using my old LG Lotus.. Waiting for my HTC HERO.. thank you for the review!

Let your phone go dead then charge it and it lasts 50% longer and make your sceen darker i had my lass one whole day until the next day at 3.00 pm with that.

And also I had owned the blackberry curve 8530. My blackberry was working until the screen broke. And I took it back to sprint and got another one. The new one had lagged and powered off itself, reseting the phone, calling itself, and the camera was not taking pics. 7 or 8 out of 10, be careful which phone you get or is gonna try to get on your nerves! Great that I had switched to metro pcs it's the best carrier with no contract!!!!!

Most phones has its share of problems and i,ve owned a lot of them. it does lag @ times but way better than the bb 8330 that i was using. i like this phone so far. i love the evo also but, ill be damned if I pay sprint an extra 150 bucks a year for 4g. Payn for my monthly service and buyn q new phone every year is enough. i rather be @ the mall with that money. good luck

my samsung moment was the same laggy mess. not only was the one i bought a mess, but the replacement they sent me (which i had to go thru hell to get and wasn't even brand new) was even worse. in order to fix it myself i deleted all of my apps (ridiculous given androids are meant for apps). 'tis why i've decided to go blackberry. it seems like i always get the tow-up phones from the companies lol. hope my bb has no probs...

OMG! I totally agree with everything you said you don't like about this phone. I was on 5th floor of the library the other day and I pressed the button to call my boyfriend. Tell me why this phone didn't start calling my boyfriend until I was walking out of the library on the ground floor. It's always lagging when I'm trying to call someone! I'm can't wait to get rid of this phone. Android is great and all but this phone has some software issues.

Yes, I concur with you on the track balls and I thought about get this phone, however my friend had it and didn't like it. I came from Merto PCS and Cricket, and now Sprint and the first phone for Sprint I had was Curve 8530, wow that was really shitty and now I am so in love with my Bold 9650, love it and love it more. @bootzlover18 It was DEFECTIVE. So they sold me a bad phone right off the shelf. They sent it off to b repaired but I still didnt wna go bk to it. Its a good phone & I liked it when it actually worked, but then it just became Crap.

One note, i see you had the ATK on your phone, i dont use it cause it causes problems with programs, this may be the reason your phone has been causing probelsm, if you google the cons about ATK it might have saved you from returning it.

@Mi5t4k3 That definitely wasnt the issue. I can assure you that. They found that the phone was Defective and they shipped it off to be repaired. So a program had nothing to do with it...
