Two: Where also their Lord was crucified. This way it just rolls off your tongue all at once without any particular emphasis and would in turn be interpreted as saying. That the city mentioned is where Christ was crucified.
Either way is up for grabs I think. I don't know Greek, but if anyone does, referring to the original Greek text of Revelations may help interpret this better. Especially if Greek language uses some sort of stress markings, but I don't know if it does.
I am unsure what version of scripture you are using. This is just a minor point I would like to make. "Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified." To me the comma denotes a brief pause, as is obvious in English grammar. But when you read it, you can interpret the last part two ways.
One: Where ALSO their Lord was crucified, with emphasis on also, as in to say that Christ had ALSO been crucified there, but then crucified would have also been figurative and could mean "rejected".

You only referred to Sodom and not Egypt to be based in spiritual context. And then "where.." in a literal pattern. It should be the three, not just the two.

If you read from the beginning you will see that Christ has already blessed Peter for believing and having faith. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.
When Jesus said, get behind thee Satan, he is scolding Peter for his zeal. Peter can not stand the suffering Jesus is about to endure. He doesn't understand that his suffering must be accomplished, only an adversary would want to stop the what must happen. Peter was thinking in the flesh and not the heavenly, but it was out of love, not because he was evil or literally satan. The next chapter Peter is with Christ at the transfiguration when Elijah and Moses appear with Christ.
Now as I said using your interpretation of the text, you are saying in that in Matthew chapter 16, Jesus handed the keys to the kingdom to satan (Peter)? This obviously would not be the case. Peter was his faithful servant until the end, Christ even told him how he would die. Peter was not his faithful servant. He denied Jesus three times. The Bible says that there is not one that doeth good. Peter is fallible, and so is the pope.
He still was his faithful servant, he still suffered and died for Christ, just as Christ had told him he would, Christ said that satan desired to have Peter, but Christ also promised the gates of hell would not prevail against Christ Church. Christ knew his apostles were men who were imperfect. Jesus even picked Judas who betrayed him.
Every one of the apostles except Judas died for Christ. Paul is more prominent in the new testament than Peter. And Paul wrote the epistles to the gentiles. Not that I'm advocating a church of Paul. Paul was a pharisee. I'm just saying that Peter is a ridiculous choice.

You are right and there are for more evidence that does not point at the RCC. Look at all the videos on this subject and you will find people use the same fraudulent material. The same argument could be made against several organizations.
At the same time the Trinity is found in many verses of scripture and says it and points to it. So the argument is from two different things. There is no doctrine of the RCC being whore of Babylon. The Trinity is taught all in the Bible in both Old and New Testament.

I am a Christian. I do not belong to any organized denomination. As an addition to my previous comment, I would like to say that most everything that occured in the Old Testement was a shadow of things to come later. As the apostate Jews fell into idolatry and Talmudism and things such as the Kabballah. I believe that organized Christianity fell into the same snare, exemplified by Roman Catholocism. Organized Protestantism is also following this pattern.

Knowing and caring are two different things. I and others have pointed out error after error in their doomsday videos. Even forged documents but they do not have the intellectual honesty to removed them. I am working on a video now that will draw this slander against other Christians together.

They don't teach about Jesus Christ because they are so confused about who he is and from it's beginnings have only learned about the Apocalypse as being the most important part of the bible instead of teaching our salvation is in Christ and doing as he commanded. They historically and hysterically hate Catholics. They're just continuing the traditions of man or prophet woman.
Historically they also hate anyone who does not worship on Saturday. Salvation to them is Ellen White + the Sabbath = a chance during Investigative Judgment. Make no mistake Ellen White is their God.
true - their focus is so much on Catholics and showing the Pope and Cardinals in their videos that I almost forgot they think all Protestants who don't worship on the Sabbath are fallen too. They just draw Protestant Christians in slowly and then they tell them they are taking the mark of the beastly Sunday and won't have salvation until they worship on the sabbath. That is something I have seen that i wondered about. It is an attack against Protestants as well but apparently they overlook it because of the attack against someone they seem to hate as well.
I believe you are right. Protestants might not like the message but they dislike other Christians more so they just sit back and allow themselves to be lowered to another level.
With all the predictions floating around it would be good to read the Bible where it says "of that hour knoweth no man." So again guess work flies out the window and people jump out after it.

You're right, Truth is always the first causality of wars. They have been waging this one for a long time and people need to continue to challenge those videos and question the biblical accuracy, historical accuracy and not just believe their productions just because of half truths.
The best thing you can do for yourself is stay far away from video producers who are obsessed with man made end time predictions. They aren't leading you to Jesus or teaching you about him.
They are witnessing to you falsely to draw you into their beliefs. Believe the comforting words of Jesus and you will not be lead astray. Jesus didn't say go forth an scare the crap out of everyone with the book of Rev.

Look at the failed prophecy through the years where people predicted the return of Christ and it did not happen. Predictions that did nothing to further the Gospel of Christ but simply to lead people away from what is important. Surely people can see the danger of such things.
Jehova's Witnesses come to mind. They asserted on numerous occasions, from the early 1940's, the late 60's and again in 1984 that the end was near. They also believed that Christ's thousand year rule would begin in the 1970's and stated so, despite the fact no man can know.
They actually begin to predict his return in 1914 and several times sense. They are a cult from the SDA who had their beginning in a failed prediction in 1844 and again a few years later. Since then many people have predicted and failed.
I have no problem with people giving their opinion as long as they do not present it as fact then use fake documents, undocumented pictures and the like to present their case.
Any one focused on end time prophecy to the point they add to the Bible, use speculation and guess work without presenting Bible facts. It is one thing Jesus said to not be concerned about in the Olivet Discourse. The thing Jesus said not to worry about is the thing these people focus on.
It is where Jesus left the temple area and went to the Mount of Olives starting In Matthew 24. The disciple asked Him a series of questions in Matt 24:1-3 and he answered them from 24:4 to the end of hapter 25. It is called the Olivet Discourse because of the location He gave it.
It is also hard for the doomsday gang to come to a neutral video and spread hateful comments as well. Here they will be challenged and asked for scriptural evidence and not goggle evidence.
Rev 17:4 states she WAS adorned with scarlet, purple and precious stones. If you compare it to Ezek 16, people will see the truth. The RCC wasn't even invented yet when John wrote this no later than 95/96 AD. God chose Jerusalem as the city to which he would dwell. You are correct.

Two: Where also their Lord was crucified. This way it just rolls off your tongue all at once without any particular emphasis and would in turn be interpreted as saying. That the city mentioned is where Christ was crucified.
Either way is up for grabs I think. I don't know Greek, but if anyone does, referring to the original Greek text of Revelations may help interpret this better. Especially if Greek language uses some sort of stress markings, but I don't know if it does.

I am unsure what version of scripture you are using. This is just a minor point I would like to make. "Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified." To me the comma denotes a brief pause, as is obvious in English grammar. But when you read it, you can interpret the last part two ways.
One: Where ALSO their Lord was crucified, with emphasis on also, as in to say that Christ had ALSO been crucified there, but then crucified would have also been figurative and could mean "rejected".

An "elder" or bishop (refer to 1Tim3) in the Church by the name of Ignatius of Antioch coined the term for the 1st time (Antioch was one of the churches confirmed in Acts) . You only referred to Sodom and not Egypt to be based in spiritual context. And then "where.." in a literal pattern. It should be the three, not just the two.

When Jesus said, get behind thee Satan, he is scolding Peter for his zeal. Peter can not stand the suffering Jesus is about to endure. He doesn't understand that his suffering must be accomplished, only an adversary would want to stop the what must happen. Peter was thinking in the flesh and not the heavenly, but it was out of love, not because he was evil or literally satan. The next chapter Peter is with Christ at the transfiguration when Elijah and Moses appear with Christ.

The Bible says that what is to be known about God can be found without it's written word Rom. 1:19-20, Rom. 2:14. To understand and interprit prophecy a solid knowledge of mankinds history helps. Assumptions need to be proven but are the beginnings of sound investigation. Google provides both good and bad information...so does the library.

sda, church of satan, whatever. it is a valid point that the rcc does fit the description given and it is true that it does not directly say in the scripture "the rcc is...". this argument for the rcc being the whore could be validated by the same argument for the trinity whereas it doesnt say directly in the scripture "trinity" yet the scripture is obvious to the truth of the trinity.

At the same time the Trinity is found in many verses of scripture and says it and points to it. So the argument is from two different things. There is no doctrine of the RCC being whore of Babylon. The Trinity is taught all in the Bible in both Old and New Testament.

Since Rome sits on 7 hills, & Daniel 9:27 parallels prince who destroys 2nd Temple w/ the final one who makes & breaks the covenant, Rome (whether RCC or not) became associated w/Rev17. But one can't ignore that "great city" means Jerusalem, Rev11:8. So it must be a multiple metaphor, even as the angel describes. Israel 'rules' the world, for via her Christ came & He's risen. So world history always centers on her. Yet it's not ONLY Israel as 'whore' in Rev17. But I need to do more homework.

I am a Christian. I do not belong to any organized denomination. As an addition to my previous comment, I would like to say that most everything that occured in the Old Testement was a shadow of things to come later. As the apostate Jews fell into idolatry and Talmudism and things such as the Kabballah. I believe that organized Christianity fell into the same snare, exemplified by Roman Catholocism. Organized Protestantism is also following this pattern.

Give generously to the church so that we can recieve seven fold a blessing of money and material wealth. And it was not the desire of God that Israel have a king, the people demanded it so that they could be as the other nations. They also wanted Christ to be a political leader, but his kingdom is not of this world. We are straying from the path into an earthly one.

The said group(s)only USE the bible to hook people into believing they are credible. Once they are done hooking people in with misplaced photos and inaccurate snippets from history they follow it up with a few verses and maybe some music for shock or drama value to scare people into believing they know what they are talking about. They use a multi approach to the phony productions. What they want is people to be scared enough to fall for their messed up doctrine by using their fake prophecy.

Actually they do more harm than good, people who want to either re-new their Christian faith or who want to join the Christian faith are repelled by groups that teach the end of the world fears instead of spreading the message of Christ. They don't teach about Jesus Christ because they are so confused about who he is and from it's beginnings have only learned about the Apocalypse as being the most important part of the bible instead of teaching our salvation is in Christ and doing as he commanded.
