Uh, pretty sure he won't get "the shit beaten out of him" as you say. They are training to be officers. We used to have that when I was a private in the Army, but mothers of America screwed that one up. A couple of my LTs went to WP, and they said it sucks as a plebe, but the old hazing is gone.
