  • I went to Verizon to look at this phone and the Razr Maxx and I could barely hear a video that was being played on the Nexus with the volume turned all the way up. The same video on the Razr Maxx was very loud.

  • im wwhatching this on my galaxy nexus

  • this has never happened on mine

  • android sucks

  • @jay43868 lol

  • Now it's fixed, isn't it?

  • @0MakoBlaster0 Yes, it was fixed immediately after the release.

  • GSM version

  • so what restart it. the iphone couldn't even make calls when it first came out????? if you restart it it fixes the problem

  • You looser, u have the old version, go to update ur nexus.

  • I'm having a problem with mine where when I'm listening to music through headphones and lock it, the sound starts getting really choppy. Is anyone able to help me fix this?

  • service center?why not?

  • i am the having same problem is there any solution for this

  • This bug has been fixed

  • I've using mine in the uk on a virgin payg sim, not sure if its 2g or 3g but I've not experienced any problems so far

  • @solosastin Virgin don't use the 900 MHz signal, which is why you haven't experienced the problem

  • Luckily I don't have this problem on my handset it probably only affects some of the handsets

  • @solosastin It affects ALL Galaxy Nexus phones - but it's only the 2G 900MHz signal that triggers it. If you're in the US then you won't notice the problem

  • All the tests conducted by many users so far indicate that the problem is in hardware and that the device receives signals from 2G that it should not receive due to not being protected from radio interference. This is also shown while the device runs in bootloader. Users believe that the problem is software instead since Google is working on software fix for the problem and that we don't have much information as Samsung and Google have to say that the problem is in hardware.

    Source : XDA

  • hi i hear that problem i dont know is that software or hard ware

problem if software from google it easy just update if hard ware

big problem i hope problem software

  • и чо?

  • The issue will be fixed in an OTA update.

And I will be buying this phone as soon as that update is released.

  • Hi can you please try the samsung dualview tv control's. , you can download it from android market.

    Thank

  • FAIL

  • That phone looks gigantic! And that i mean in a volumetric way, which is not positive for an mobile device.

  • piece of shit

  • @untonespb you?

  • @ssijak what?

  • If you were to operate the phone with one hand, is it really hard to reach the notification bar with your thumb? On the Bionic I can just about reach the whole screen, aside from the very top right near the clock (I'm a leftie) is this a problem with the slightly taller Gnex?

Also, is it hard to reach the lock button if you were to wake/unlock the phone with your left hand only?

  • Supposedly this is caused by other phones , having them near the galaxy causes it to flip out

  • Apart from the whole volume shit, is it a good phone? xD

  • @TehMusicKid Yes. It's a brilliant phone. Which makes this fault all the more annoying.

  • @Duddyroar sounds you did't get this problem ,am i right ? because i want to buy this phone but i stop when i see this vedio ,i want ur advice as you have the device

  • DAS IST BESTIMMT EIN TEST GERÄT !!!!!!!

THERE CAN BE TO HERE IS A TEST DEVICE IS: DO YOU HAVE REPLACED BECAUSE THE UNIT?

  • what is the differences between Samsung Galaxy Nexus VS Samsung Galaxy Nexus(prime) OR all it is same ??

  • Can I just say, how come on the video it says YouTube then it says your video title and saying someone has posted a comment on it? You recorded this before uploading it obviously.

  • @beingyounique What?

  • @Duddyroar When your testing your phone's volume, on the phone's screen it says someone has posted on "Galaxy Nexus Volume Problem" yet you are the only person with the same video title, how come?

  • @beingyounique Oh right, That relates to another video I did previously, which I've since locked as it didn't show the issue as well as this one

  • May I ask why zingzillas is on in the background?

  • @ellzbot My kids were watching the TV.

  • Bought mine from O2 and having the same fault for the first couple of days but seems to have cleared now, maybe just haven't been in a 2g zone sine. Will be monitoring closely.

  • @thehipster21 this is not good sound ,that mean galaxy nexus have problem on 2g and 3g? what about volume drop down are you facing this problem ?and are you advice me to buy or not , because i am Hesitant :)and i found it 920$ include shipping ,is it worth it ????

  • is there any response from Samsung to this issue ?? because i am stop buying this device since i see this cons

other question regarding updating Is it from the air or i have make it manual?

US version is it same problem with volume ???

  • This is a software issue, obviously. Not a hardware issue. So it'll be fixed.

  • @benZZZgomeZZZ It's not a software issue. If you search on YT, you'll see that people have put the Galaxy Nexus into bootloader mode (no connections, no firmware running) and placed another phone next to it, and the volume rocker is being registered as being pressed. This is a hardware/design fault.

  • @Duddyroar Google claims it is a software issue (bug) and that they'll fix it soon.

  • this will have to be recalled. sorry samsung.

  • Why did you let Michael J. Fox use your phone? It's still lagging!

  • What camera did you film this with?

  • @mommasboyfilms Xperia Play

  • @Duddyroar Xperia is the best for a camera

  • Its a bug in the os. Just reset your phone and itll stop. If you send it back they will exchange it

  • Quite clearly you have a faulty model. It happens.

  • @DarKnightofCydonia there's a poll on XDA and well over half of people have this

  • New phones always have bugs :/

  • It seems to be related to interference with the 900mHz 2G band.

  • Another Android disaster.

  • Que bosta hein

  • verdammt! wo kam denn das kind auf einmal her o.O

  • @mryx ist halt ein riesiges Handy. (;

und hoffentlich kommt es bald raus. Will mein Desire in Rente schicken.

  • PEENUS

  • MEH whatever iphone4 lite has major problems anyway.

cant wait to get samsung G nexus when its cheaper by next year anyway. they will fix it firmware soon.

  • @waxu2000 Yeah, because iPhones never have faults... *cough* DEATH GRIP *cough*

  • @Duddyroar wasnt really that bad though was it..

  • @Duddyroar There was no death grip specific to the iPhone. All smartphones suffer the exact same issue. Fandroids are just bitter over the fact iOS now has more marketshare than Android because of the 37 million iPhones sold last quarter.

  • @bonchbonch LOL

  • @Duddyroar I acknowledge your lack of a counterargument. Meanwhile, Neilsen and NPD confirm that Apple erased the marketshare gap with Android. Android has become too fragmented and non-functional to compete.

  • @bonchbonch Double LOL

  • @Duddyroar See you in line for an iPhone.

  • @bonchbonch As someone who reviews phones for a living, I already have one, thanks. Yet I still use my Android as my main phone. I must be insane, right?

  • @Duddyroar Pretty much. Damn things can't even scroll as smoothly as the iPhone 1 from 2007.

  • @waxu2000 Hahaha, are u living under a rock that you didn't notice the early 4S problems, with battery leaking in under 30mins?? Siri not connecting to servers?? You really must have buttons for eyes.

  • @waxu2000

thats preposterous that you should say that. The iphone is in no way superior to android and let alone ice scream sandwich. This is a software issue that would easily be corrected with an update. Its a price to pay when you are an early adopter. The same thing happened when apple changed the casing from the 3gs to the iphone 4, only that it was a hardware problem and required apple to actually modifiy the design for future phones, patching the sides so the death grip could be broken.

  • @waxu2000 are u FUCKING retard Better buy an iPhone 4s?? please kill yourself you fucking idiot. iPhone is the biggest crap ever

  • @waxu2000 Coz iPhones never have problems.... So just the death grip on iPhone 4 and crap battery on iPhone 4S ????

  • @waxu2000 How's that antenna problem on the Iphone4? Or that battery problem with the 4s? It's called a software bug, the phone was released 4 days ago and it only happens when on 2G in the UK.

  • @waxu2000 Such a troll

  • @waxu2000 I agree with you actually. The resale value of iOS devices is much higher than the resale value of any Android device.

  • @waxu2000 cuz a mute issue isnt as bad as an antenna that drops all calls with a hand movement on the iPhone 4

  • @waxu2000 clueless idiot!

  • @waxu2000 you dont have a fucking clue do you, iphones are shit, i had one and it ws the most unreliable and sluggish phone ever and the build quality was shocking, everyone i know with an iphone has had problems, this will be fixed. got to say that icecream sandwich is the best phone os ive ever used

  • @waxu2000 do u realize that iphones are some of the most unreliable, useless, glitchy devices ever made! I had an iphone 3gs and 4 and i have to say there is no reason to buy 4 or 4s. they haven't changed and are nothing but a fashion statement.

  • @waxu2000 Meh they both have faults... iPhones hardware and design is epic, but iOS5 is very boring and you can't customise, thats were the Android comes in with its customisation.

  • iFan 3G. Damn technology. Fan with a 3G...

  • Bought mine direct from O2. I've not experienced this issue in normal use, nor have I been able to recreate it by forcing my phone onto 2G mode. Is it mainly the Phones4U stock affected or others as well?

  • @DoddyUK Mine was from 3. I think this impacts all versions of the phone.

  • Comment removed

  • Looking at the video I can only see how awesome it looks, completely ignoring the bug, im mesmerized.

  • Dude, is this just on things like media and ringtones or is it on calls also. Please explain as much as possible....

  • @timllmixit It's relevant to whatever process you're involved with at the time. If your phone is on the menu screen, notification volume is effected. If you're in a call, the call volume drops. If you're listening to music, playing a game or watching a video, the media volume drops. Basically the phone thinks you're pressing the volume button when you're not.

  • @Duddyroar thanks for this. Check your PM please mate.

  • 'How muchare the iPhone 3G's?'...... 'What?'

It's obvious that he was told to shut up.

  • ive had a similar issue with my galaxy nexus and just got the usual samsung response to factory reset but i believe its a hardware issue as it seems to do it when you rest your thumb near the volume rocker

  • definitely hardware+software related issue...i have samsung nexus s....and i had a problem with power button doing the same thing..phone would just keep going from on......to standby mode and back to on..repeatedly....i smacked it a few times by pushing it in a d releasing it fast and it did the trick most of the times...but i just sent it to samsung and they repaired it....took them 2 months to repair it..but i got it back..flawless

  • I have the same issue! So annoying! Let's get it sorted!

  • You holding it wrong, from Steve Jobs in Heaven.

  • @ExtinctOfKageShi Steve Jobs is a Buddhist, dumbass.

  • @MrSamLikesCookies buddhism also got heaven dumbass.

  • @ExtinctOfKageShi hahahahah .....nice one.

  • @ExtinctOfKageShi i bet he is in hell :3

  • LOL. That screen is clear tho

  • Typical Samshit. GPS, screen discoloration, and now this.

  • LOL whoever is speaking in the background is hilarious!!!!!!

  • FTW goggle domination is taking over the world buhahaha..........

  • @jlg19753

the iPhone 4S has a similar problem and that's in addition to the battery problem, the echo problem and the insert sim problem. apple's forums have no less than 58 pages of people complaining.

  • first we have seen this could be an app installed until the bug is on more devices its not really a bug or glitch hope we dont see this on any other device.

  • ok, I have 2 suggestions (after a reboot):

    1) Can you check the gold connectors your fingers may have been making a strange connection..

    2) Can you try and make your actions on the volume rocker clearer? (possibly place the phone on a table and use a single finger to do it).

    Very strange though.

  • mine nexus is good,i love it

  • Faulty Hardware :) - Mine is perfect

  • Hopefully Google fixes this minor bug. Exchange your phone for a new one.

  • this what happens for makin it a Samsung Galaxy phone instead of "Google Nexus Prime" as well as lettin Verizon bitch slap them around

  • @jlmutabazi1 Why would I spend £500+ on a phone just to post a video on the internet to say it's shit? Please engage your brain before randomly mashing the keyboard. I have shared this video so other users can see the issue and hopefully Google can come up with a solution.

  • @Duddyroar chill man didn't you se ":-p"

  • @jlmutabazi1 fucking fruit cake watch the video carefully first does it seem like it's fucking lagging. don't say shit when you don't know shit.

  • even your calendar and gmail widget is... going crazy. that's weird. I wonder if anyone else has similar problems

  • i guess your volume rocker's messed up. get a replacement bro.
