The big difference in the gameplay in 2k8 and 2k9 is for me, that the players in 2k9 hit more of their shots than in 2k8. In 2k8 you could miss a wide-open shop with a good player. That nearly never happens in 2k9.

I think 2k9 is way better mainly because of the fact that players hit their wide open mid-range shots... And then there is of course a lot of great other features - like living rosters...
