@LesPaulGuitars1 I built my "Holy Smoke" hydro to be the best of the best. It has MAYBE 20 minutes of total run time. The engine is not even broken in yet. It still needs some carburetor tweaking. I have not had the time and cooperative weather to get her out to the lake for a good tune. This engine will REALLY lift the hull from the water at will and is not for a beginner. Good reflexes and experience are definitely necessary here. A lightweight hull and uber performance engine can be trouble.

@LesPaulGuitars1 Thank you for the compliment! This is the factory applied decal graphics under clearcoat as supplied by ProBoat when this radio controlled boat was in production. They stopped making the Miss Budweiser specific model a few years ago after Bernie Little died. He was the long time owner of the very successful full-size Miss Budweiser sponsored Unlimited Hydroplane. I have always appreciated the looks of these boats too.

Just in case you can't figure out where all the hate on this video is coming from, people see the title on recommended other videos and think "An RC boat that uses water for fuel? This I gotta see!" And then when they see the video they think "wtf it's just a normal RC boat". I'm assuming you meant just add water to signify that it's easy to start and all you need is a body of water to put it in. I'd suggest changing the title to something less convoluted and misleading.
I have the same one. I built mine from plans out of balsa wood and fiber glass. What motor do you have in it. I have a 75cc ASP glow engine, with heavy modifications. I can top out at 100 MPH.
@rm688 Since you are the THIRD person to ask about seeing it in action I will suggest that you view some of my other videos to see a variety of Miss Budweiser 1/8th scale RC boats on the water, including this one, that I have uploaded. It's really not that hard to do. Durrrrr indeed.

well i had the same problem on my nitro engine if it has the regular butterfly style there is a tiny screw on the center of the flap where the throttle is turn that out a little and work your way out till it idles then adjust low and high ends

Hey my 1/12 one won't start I got everything I needed the dude at the hobby shop said I was ready to go. I charged up my glo plug for 15 hours and added the recommended fuel then did everything he told me to do to start it and it won't start! It seems like in the tank it's getting pumped in the engine but it seems like it getting blocked! I need help!
@rcmen13 The nitro engines can be pretty finicky. The fuel needs to be fresh. If left exposed to air it will absorb water very easily and render it useless. Is your glowplug igniter working? If these are not the problems, I would suspect that your glowplug is defective. It is a good idea to have a couple of spares. They are fragile and sometimes short-lived. I hope this helps.

If you hydrolock your motor no big deal stop pulling your going to break cord. Pull glow plug out. use a towel to cover hole and give it 10 quick pulls. Reinstall glow plug and put starter on and give it about 5 sec.............Then she starts

That's the problem! Not everyone has a body of water that's sufficient to run these gassers. I bought one 2 years ago with the grand idea of all this fun & racing & TRUST ME! if you clip your buddies boat once, the party is OVER for the day. I've ran mine maybe 10 times, & for 1200$ that's not very good fun. Stay with rc aircraft, park flyers , ect.

@mikeee0994 I'm sure you could adapt this engine to work in your hull. It is a Zenoah G260 PUM Marine specific engine. It is also water cooled. WH Hobbies used to have the best price. They were about $200 for a stock one. I'm sure prices have changed. They sell some kick-ass modifed Zenoah engines also. Look on their site for the M5 and M6 mods. I have an M6. It is insanely fast. Horizon Hobby has engine mounts and other parts for this engine. Look on their site for 1/8 hydro parts. Good Luck.
@MrMarksmanelite Gizmo has the G260PUM engine for $205. The $199.00 Zenoah G26 is air-cooled and not a marine engine set up for water cooling. Thanks for the help though.
@mikeee0994 I don't know of a gasoline engine small enough for the 1/12th scale hydro. I have seen some very fast electric motor conversions on the smaller boat.

I posted this to show the ease of starting especially as combared to a nitro model to a potential buyer, not to entertain you. Real sorry you wasted 21 seconds of your time. I bet it took you longer to cry about it in your comment.
I think you are referring to the "2-stroke crackle" that you hear while it is running. That sound is coming from the tailpipe at the end of the exhaust pipe expansion chamber like a high performance motocross engine. Any electrical spark plug noise (?) is overpowered by the exhaust note. If I held the propeller to your ear I bet your screams would be audible above any surrounding sounds. lol
Thank you. I like the lines of these Unlimited Hydros also. The carry tote is only for the much smaller 1/12th scale version and is a rare and expensive piece in fine condition.

This would be VERY expensive to ship to you. Try horizonhobbydotcom They have some dealers/distributors in the UK and other European countries that may be able to source one for you..
By sheer coincidence I did by a spare replacement bare hull from Horizon just before the discontinuation of these boats. That one is still in the box. Don't tell anyone.
For $270 US you probably have the 1/12 scale nitro version. 20% nitro is the standard fuel to use. But, if you are one very lucky person and have this model, the 1/8th scale boat, the engine runs best on the highest octane grade fuel (petrol, gasoline, benzin) you can buy with a manufacturer recommended pre-mix of anywhere from 25 to 40 / 1. (fuel/oil)Which is equal to 3.2 to 5.1 fluid ounces of "2-STROKE" OIL ONLY per US gallon of gasoline. Enjoy your boat!
Whoa! Wait a minute. This is not MY system. This technology has been around for a couple of (hundred) years. This is petrol-fueled, 2-stroke technology, internal combustion at work. It runs on a gasoline and oil mixture. For 5 million Euro we can make them run on H2O.

The title of the video is meant to infer that you need only a (large) body of water to operate this amazing boat. OK?
Why? Well Katie some men are fascinated at the idea of a Radio Control (not remote control) toy.The ability to control the actions of a completely seperate vehicle at great distance is fun to do, you are able to perform extreme feats without the risk of personal bodily harm. Many women can't appreciate the thrill in this sport. Some of them are quite deft in the manuevers though, through their manipulations of their husbands and/or boyfriends behavior from great distance.
The last 2 sales of my private collection of flawless 1/8th Miss Budweiser's went for around $900.00 US, complete, bone stock and worth every penny, as the buyers would tell you. In stock form, to the casual user, they are a hazard to swimmers, other water-born creatures and possibly beachcombers near the shore.
When modified to anywhere near their potential, they are quite fearful and need to be treated as such.
My scale turbine versions are still in testing and further development.
See my other vid of how this big hydro can eat up the water. While it's more realistic and possibly somewhat faster with a LITTLE more chop than in my other vid, you are flirting with a blow-over or a flip in the turn when you run on the ragged edge. I've been there a few times. Retrieval, unloading of contaminated fuel, drying, verification of continued radio control signals (with retracted antennae, as per R/C aircraft)and refueling seriously cut down on the available time to haul ass.
Just add the water to operate it in. It is a boat after all and that is the usual environment to find them in. Sadly, mine sees more trailer time than lake time. Is it too hard to understand?

2 stroke oil needs to be added to the gas just like a 2 stroke motorcycle. The writing is outlined in black.

It's water cooled but can be started and run very briefly out of the water. Any tuning off the lake requires a makeshift coolant supply.

I cherish the last 2 of my once substantial collection of these fine craft and am not looking to sell either of them. It would take no less than $1500 for me to consider selling the 2-stroke model and probably 10k for the turbine version. Thanks for asking.

I think you are referring to the "2-stroke crackle" that you hear while it is running. That sound is coming from the tailpipe at the end of the exhaust pipe expansion chamber like a high performance motocross engine. Any electrical spark plug noise (?) is overpowered by the exhaust note. If I held the propeller to your ear I bet your screams would be audible above any surrounding sounds. lol

Thank you. I like the lines of these Unlimited Hydros also. The carry tote is only for the much smaller 1/12th scale version and is a rare and expensive piece in fine condition.

For $270 US you probably have the 1/12 scale nitro version. 20% nitro is the standard fuel to use. But, if you are one very lucky person and have this model, the 1/8th scale boat, the engine runs best on the highest octane grade fuel (petrol, gasoline, benzin) you can buy with a manufacturer recommended pre-mix of anywhere from 25 to 40 / 1. (fuel/oil)Which is equal to 3.2 to 5.1 fluid ounces of "2-STROKE" OIL ONLY per US gallon of gasoline. Enjoy your boat!

Whoa! Wait a minute. This is not MY system. This technology has been around for a couple of (hundred) years. This is petrol-fueled, 2-stroke technology, internal combustion at work. It runs on a gasoline and oil mixture. For 5 million Euro we can make them run on H2O.
Does everyone outside the U.S. expect to have the solution to the petro crisis brought to their doorstep?
The title of the video is meant to infer that you need only a (large) body of water to operate this amazing boat. OK?

Well Katie some men are fascinated at the idea of a Radio Control (not remote control) toy.The ability to control the actions of a completely seperate vehicle at great distance is fun to do, you are able to perform extreme feats without the risk of personal bodily harm. Many women can't appreciate the thrill in this sport. The last 2 sales of my private collection of flawless 1/8th Miss Budweiser's went for around $900.00 US, complete, bone stock and worth every penny, as the buyers would tell you. In stock form, to the casual user, they are a hazard to swimmers, other water-born creatures and possibly beachcombers near the shore.
When modified to anywhere near their potential, they are quite fearful and need to be treated as such.
My scale turbine versions are still in testing and further development.

See my other vid of how this big hydro can eat up the water. While it's more realistic and possibly somewhat faster with a LITTLE more chop than in my other vid, you are flirting with a blow-over or a flip in the turn when you run on the ragged edge. I've been there a few times. Retrieval, unloading of contaminated fuel, drying, verification of continued radio control signals (with retracted antennae, as per R/C aircraft)and refueling seriously cut down on the available time to haul ass.
