  • @franciscotandy

right...... fairly trite film for such brilliant music

  • @ferdia6 Ah yes, I started watching the movie, and got so bored, I stopped... But then again, that was kinda unfair for the film since I watched it on the plane...

  • @stevtomato

I thought to myself, if the soundtrack is so well suited to the types of scenes/scenery, and it is great music in itself, and the surroundings are so lavish and interesting, why am I starting to drift off a bit and not care what is happening? It was pretentious and dull, I actually chuckled a bit after the son died... but anyway, what a great soundtrack it was

  • @ferdia6 I am really sorry to disappoint you, obviously, We see things in a different way. Take it easy,

    xx

  • I just performed this with the South Dakota symphony as the mezzo-soprano vocalist!! :)

I love this piece soo much. Glad to see it's appreciated.

  • I love this. I really do hope that you post the first movement of this tune.

  • The composer is John Adams - I'm not sure of the performance.

The piece is "Grand Pianola Music" and this movement is the 2nd of 2 - "On the Dominant Divide" (this video says the wrong title of the movement).

    It was composed in 1981!!

I LOVE this piece - I just performed it with the South Dakota Symphony as the mezzo-soprano voice part :)
