I don't know why but does the country song playing on the answering machine which is "There's No Getting Over Me" sound weird or freaky to anyone else...
Or is it because the song sounds weird because it's heard on an answering machine in the background??
I looked up "There's No Getting Over Me" sung by Ronnie Milsap on Youtube, and it sounds very upbeat.
The music is upbeat, why the lyrics are sort of sad.
One way that people commit suicide is to leave the car running in the garage and let the exhaust fumes poison them. I guess "The car's in the garage, and I am too" coupled with the fact he sounded depressed makes it sound like he's trying to kill himself. Also, he asked that his ex-wife make sure he back to his home town (I'm guessing that's what was scrambled), which implies that that's where he wants to be buried.
Another segment that I can think of where someone dies is the one from season 4 which takes place in Vegas where paramedics arrive at the scene of a car crash involving a drunk driver.
If you're feeling so depressed that you're gonna off yourself, the last kind of music you should be listening to is country! Sort of ironic that the song playing in the background on the answering machine was called "No Gettin' Over Me" Sort of an extra guilt trip for his woman.
But seriously, I am so glad that this ended the way it did. Good thing that lady didn't just ignore it.
Well, over 5800 people have watched it. Perhaps there are not a lot of comments because nobody feels like criticizing. Most of the time when people comment on Rescue 911 it is because the people in the clip have done something stupid and everyone wants to point it out. I think its a great clip personally.
I uploaded this one almost two years ago. Most of the ones that have been up that long have gotten at least 10,000 views. Another one I wish more people would watch is "Pacoima Cliff Save" from Episode 207. That's a pretty cool one (and there's plenty of room to point out stupidity).
You're funny 'Plenty of room to point out stupidity.'
Noticed people who like to do that in every video?
We're trained NOT to point out mistakes people make. It's one of the first things they told us in EMT training. But I learned how to practice it after getting the job. A veteran paramedic told me people don't learn until they make a mistake. I believe him more now than I did then.
Captain B. puts it extremely bluntly: Your job is to treat the patient's injuries. Do that and nothing more.
DON'T SHOW HIM WRITING THE PHONE NUMBER DOWN YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!!

I don't know why but the song on the machine sounds like a sad country song.
Is "No Getting Over Me" supposed to be a depressing song. I'm not a country music listener.
In fact, any videos of Ronnie singing this on Youtube??

IDK why the comment written in Spanish has all those minuses.
Especially when, translated, it says "I love this show. It's too good. Greetings from Venezuela."

Not all country music is doom and gloom.
Reba McEntire sings songs that are upbeat and happy. Not always but enough that I like her.
