But at the same time I use to get drunk and listen to Pantera and think HOW FUCKING BAD ASS, till I watched all the drugged out phil performances post '94. I felt a little betrayed, but at the same time It opened my eyes. Alcohol in large quanities doesnt make you performe better even if your one of the best. I still love the band.

Remembering some old Modern Drummer ads for both Remo and Sabian, Vinnie was playing Remo Encore series drums(w/ Remo heads) at this point. He went with Pearl next. Many of you may not even Remember Remo drums, but they were "kinda" big back in the late '80s and early '90s. Ricky Lawson and Terry Bozzio both played them too. There's an old, weird video on YouTube of Terry playing a large, all black Remo kit with strange sounding toms and snare.

I figured Jeff Hamilton was either playing an older Mastertouch (they've been around a while now), or Remo had made him a custom kit since he's also a Remo heads endorser. Great to see the drums are still around. I always really liked their marching drums. The Legato snare was a beast!
