really great shoes. Can't deal with the funk though, looking good with the lingering stench that wafts up peoples noses from less then 2 feet away doesn't mix.
i just bought a pair of these yesterday and i freaking love them. ive barely taken them off, ive been doing a lot of freerunning in them and they are my favorite shoes ive ever used for it. the grip is amazing and seeing how i love going barefoot this just compliments my love for it. i ran up a wall that i couldnt do before i got em, and they are jsut great, i highly reccomend to everybody

Buy water shoes if you don't need the toes. They are much cheaper and in every other aspect the same. Trust me I bought Vibram Five Fingers and used them for Parkour, they were broken after one month.
yeah its one of those things where you just have to know what your style is. They make several different styles for whatever you want, but you've gotta be able to get past the crazy looks you WILL get from people. I love mine, personally, and wouldnt run in normal athletic shoes ever again, once you get used to the way they almost force you to run, you'll really fall in love with them.
sux my feet were too fat for the kso when i got my sprints. love them anyway. although thy get super stinky when i dont wear sox. lol infact i just go barefoot most of the time now and only use these when im going somewhere pebbelly or hot
I love how people tend to blame their tools and not their flaws. People manage to do amazing things going truly barefoot. There is no doubt that using typical trainers you create lazy muscles so if you have poor technique and lazy muscles and try to do a transition into fivefinger shoes to quickly then you should expect to injure yourself. Go light until your muscles are strong enough to support you in this type of shoe and you will reduce the chance of injury and also improve technique.
@368maw That really depends on the persons running technique. A forefoot strike runner can transition faster then a heel strike runner. The thing both have to deal with is that the point of minimalist running is run lightly, once you have that down its easy to stay injury free.
Doing some barefoot running/walking before really going at it teaches you how to move in the way that hurts least, it sticks when you move to the VFF.
KSO vs. Bikila (LS) vs. Komodo Sport for parkour? Not sure which to get for grip, feel, and foot slide in shoe. Really would appreciate an answer. Thanks
Sorry karimbo, Little angry at the time as when i searched the net on injuries and Vibram 5 fingers I found some interesting discussions about stress fractures of the 2nd Met head (which is the joint of the toe that is next to my big toe - which is what i have!!! So for me and my poor foot these are crap compared to my Brooks GTS.
@tailskidder broke your foot? there are a ton of bones in your foot, be a little more specific man. either way its better you break your foot than tear a ligament in you foot/ankle/knee, which are very common in regular running shoes, whereas the only injuries i hear about from fivefingers are bruises and really sore calves. swift recovery man.
@arnofourie Not ever, looking to use a combo of minmalist and footdisc insoles - i'll let you know, but a couple of good runners down my gym have gone that way
I just ran a 100km in Vibram Five Fingers KSOTrek in a grueling winding cold littered sharp stone trails of Hong Kong. Live my experience at joggerjoel(dot)com
I own two pairs, kso and sport trek, but love the flexibility of the kso. The grip in these shoes is unfreakin believable. The style.... well, it's different, for those who think differently. I hate wearing normal shoes, so the kso is my personal version of jordans. All a matter of opinion.
Fashion is for idiots. I wear my vibrams everywhere (I have 3 pairs) these are the most comfortable shoes and no one has to see my feet, (not that I have bad feet) I'm talking to you douches that wear sandals and flip-flops with nasty feet. And personally you ca get away with wearing these with anything aside from dress clothes and still be "fashionable" whatever that is worth.
i have a pair of these and they are awesome, i went on a 4 mile cross country run today something i have never done before, and i ran at least half of it in these shoes and other than the soreness from the running, im not hurting at all thanks to these shoes, and @moistpup fashion, just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder my friend
It's only because of idiots like you that wearing this kind of awesome shoes is considered a fashion faux pas. Please go back to Fascist Italy and leave people who have a clue alone.
That was friggin' awesome :D. It's amazing what these "shoes" do to you. I go on this two hour hike every once in a while, and on my way down I couldn't help but hop from rock to rock and just have fun. I LOVE my fivefingers!
Does anyone know what the name of the song is?

if u step on a stone or rock , or just bassicly sharp , would it hurt you . like bear footed ?
ModernXpert 5 months ago
@ModernXpert No. The soles of the shoe are tough enough to with stand that. You should go to shoe store that has them and check them out.
