hell yes! I love Finnish melodic death metal, but these guys are fucking awesome!! Some of the greatest metal melodies come from these guys, yet they are still relatively unknown...they're amazing, and the live quality is pretty good, IMO.

Great fucking band..why can't my country, the USA, ever come out with a good band like this?? All we've got is Disturbed and Metallica, and they aren't that great.

Oh come on. There are tons of great bands in USA. Agalloch, Novembers Doom, Nile, Cynic, Iced Earth, Scale the Summit and many more. I'm not from USe myself but I don't think that the steriotype that people give american people can be applied to everyone.

obviously gundorlt we are of different opinions. I kinda like Iced Earth, but still, when it comes to melodeath, which is the primary type of metal I listen to, the USA has very few bands, and most of them just seem more attention-seeking and "wannabe" than actually good.

I mean, I'm from the USA, but still, I've got to admit that this country is infested with little rap-loving swine who think death metal = korn and slipknot, who scare the swine.

I agree with you as far as rap and the whole youth "scene" goes. And yes, if we're talking about melodeath, we must agree that USA has almost no bands in that sub-genre. But my point was that even though there's lots of bad stuff (too much, no doubt), you can still find quite a lot of good bands. Try the onesI mentioned, tell me what you think

I personally agree with shinderhizzle84 that there are few "Good" melodeath bands in the US and I'm from there. although I do disagree that it's all rap-loving culture it's switched and now it's full of self-pity obsessed fucks acting tough cause they listen to bmth nothing against bmth but a band should be credited for their talen in music and not their frontman's hair.

In case you didn't know this was their first gig since 2001. And they had new members too. So it's pretty obvious that they are not in the best shape. They used to do a lot of headbanging and such things back in 1997-1999

They are kind of an avant garde band. Maybe they want to get away from the some of the metal stereotypes (ie: head-banging, Iron-Maiden style guitar leaps, and demon leprechaun stage antics.)

Or maybe they're just tired from the long gig. Plus it's not like head-banging is that easy to do when you're playing music of that caliber of technicality.

But alas, you're probably one of those pseudo-metal heads who grew his hair out and started wearing black because that's what everyone did in middle/highschool.

It isn't all about the image (although this does become an issue when playing live), try listening to the music once in a while.

Most of what that is is simply showmanship. Would you rather watch someone stand entirely still or really get into the music they're playing? While with a whole lot of bands this can get ridiculous it can also get the crowd really riled up making them have a lot more fun and probably like you a lot more.

This does come at the expense of precision while playing of course which is why it should only be used to a somewhat small degree.
