The East Coast invented rap, and dominated from 79-86
Then, around 1988, NWA came and made Gangsta rap popular, therefore making the West Coast dominant until 1994.
During 1994, the East Coast came back and was also topping charts, so both Coasts were.
The old School South was beast, but now the MAINSTREAM south ruined rap.
