  • thank you for the video! foul is one of my favourites!

i have a question though, do you rinse your beans after removing them from the tin, or do you add them straight to the casserole?

  • @chennaia Hi there, thanks for your comment. We prepare foul several times a month for breakfast. Preparing it right from the tin or can, we use the liquid that comes with it. Unless you are trying to watch your sodium intake (although the liquid is not very salty) Then I would drain the liquid, and rinse it with water then perhaps add just a little bit of water in the casserole while preparing the recipe. Hope this info helps let me know if you have any questions. - Mariette

  • Great recipe! So colorful and full of spices.

  • can I substitute Fava Beans with Chick Peas?

  • @Lado1677 Yes you can. You can also substitute it with northern white beans or kidney beans although it will not have the same taste but it will still be very delicious.

If you are allergic to fava beans check with your doctor what food or medicine you should avoid. i hope I helped thanks for posting.

  • yummy!

  • Actually Foul Moudamas is exclusively for Egypt :)

  • @MrMohamedZahran - Broad beans (foul ) was first grown in India and bought to egypt by the british for their horses. Eat foul and become fools.
