  • at the end he was a heck of a pick! :)

  • becareful what you wish for...

  • What about Yao Ming over Jay Williams?

Remember how everyone reacted when Houston made the pick?

  • AS A die hard Knick fan... i shut off the television when we didnt draft ERIC GORDON.

  • Wait, you guys still have fans?

  • LOL HAHAHHAHAA

  • the knicks have more fans than half of the nba teams that are better than them wether they suck or not

  • Gordon is and will be just a good player, nothing special, not the one who could change your team; Gallinari is all to see, and soon he show us how he value. I expect great things from him...

  • have you ever seen... not even a game... but unleast a Gallinari's shot?! I don't think so

  • I think that bigbuzin are a very intelligent man, but everyone has his own opinion about danilo, it's normal that italian fans support him an is also normal that american fans aren't so happy about his pick.. We will see..

  • yes i understand!

Knicks fans are not very cleaver and smart!

They boo a player without know him (and european basketball). It's a very positive think.

They wanted Gordon or Bayless who are combo guards (and not pg) like Marbury and Crawford.

Knicks fans don't know Nowitzki, Stojakovic, Turkoglu, Okur, Ginobili ?

  • yeah i also know about darko milicic,Frederick Weis,Aleksandar Radojevic,Raul Lopez.Robertas Javtokas.Juan Carlos Navarro Zarko Cabarkapa Aleksandar Pavlovic Sani Becirovic Slavko Vranes Sofoklis Schortsanitis Maciej Lampe Pavel Podkolzine Viktor Khryapa Sergei Monia Vassilis Spanoulis Yaroslav Korolev Fran Vazquez Johan Petro Thabo Sefolosha Oleksiy Pecherov. and my favorite, the best player to come out in years, compared to Nowitzki, but cant grab a rebound, and he's 7ft Andrea Bargnani

  • I can also list many many bad american players

do you know kwame brown for example?

Navarro is a great player (also with memphis) but earn more money in Europe (such as jasekivicius..) and Bargnani was in the all rookie first team (second behind Roy for the roy).

  • how can you say knicks fan isn't cleaver i think they still remember 1 round 2 pick in 03Darko Millic wat do u got to say about that ...

and Pavlovic, Andrea Bargnani not saying he is bad just I expected more at pick #1 in 06

but okay that the ones u name are good put how long they been pros it's time to look at 2003-2008 so I don't blame the fans

  • and kwame Brown american pick numer one ?

  • what a shame!

Ny the city of the statue of liberty, of ellis island this cosmopolitan city (with italians) insults, booes a very very young player came from italy in front of his family!

    NY should be very ashamed.

  • Francesca75PARIGI i dont think you understand what new york is about. first off. this is a mans game. no one is going to hug him. he wasn't booed that bad.they never seen him play, why should they cheer him? because he's Italian? lol, thats your problem. if you think our Italian fans should cheer him because of that, you are wrong. we want to win badly. new york is the toughest place to play.stars come here and become regular players, when he performs then they'll cheer.

    go cry elsewhere

  • I think you must see him playing before talking, cause actually youre talks are the same as nothing, the response is expected for the beginning of regular season

  • im not bashing him,but you cannot tell me about the good international guys, ii named but a few. about 3% of them have achieved anything . maybe less. those few euro allstars do not compare to the busts. and we kninck fans already have a thing about euro guys. the last international guy we drafted that high was Frederic Weiss. van gundy yelled at him in training camp and we never seen the bum again.that is why knick

fans dont buy into this crap. someone is always the next dirk and never is

  • THE ROOSTER!

  • Gallinari;TRanslates to Chicken or Hen in Spanish

    The big chicken jejejejj

  • thx adriano btw.

  • ii love following kids early in their careers. i like to stay informed and see who has next.i dont talk out of my ass, and if it wasn't fiba, it was something else. but i know he played against america

  • I think the Knicks just picked the next... Nikoloz Tskitishvili (Spelling?) remember the guy who the Nuggets drafted had all the hype and then became one of the biggest if not the biggest bust in NBA Draft history... I hope the Knicks drafted smart. I wish he becomes great because I would like the Knicks back in the playoffs.h

-The curious thing is that Nikoloz and Danilo both played with Mike D'Antoni in Italy, what a small world huh?

  • you think..BAD!

come on, arent u guys the ones supposed to understand the game better than anyone else (to be honest, i never believed that)?

so its either u dont really understand it, or you simply write down comments without having a clue of the subject you're writing about!

first, gallo never played for d'antoni, his dad was teammate with d'antoni..danilo met him once.

secondly, gallinari has demonstrated something, he's already performed at high levels, whilst skita was just a prospect

  • i meant they both had a relationship with D'Antoni. (MY BADDD!) don't get all mad Adriano, it was my mistake. I hope "Gallo" turns out like you said he will, but the comparisons to Nikoloz are not wrong. Nikoloz was taller too. maybe that's the difference between Gallo and Niko. what do you expect the numbers "Gallo" will put up? since you are the expert on Danilo.

  • sorry, i get mad coz i wanted him to stay 1 more year here, and i hate to read his new "fans" write he's a bust!

anyway, they're different in character, personality: gallo is a proven leader of a euroleague team, which is the highest level of 'ball after the nba, whilst skita played 12mpg in italy when he was drafted!! plus he's sure of himself, he's really tough mentally.

next year he's def gonna contribute offensively, less difensively (but expect constant improvements)..10ish ppg 2-3rpg..?

  • no problem bro. btw I'm a pacers fan, and I can say proudly we had the best draft out of all the teams. (lol) Just pointing this out.

now back to the subject: So can you say R.O.Y for "Gallo". also if he develops to his full potential, would the Knicks expect 20-25ppg, in other words will the Knicks fan expect a superstar?

  • well, if you're a pacers fan you should trust donnie walsh, shouldn't you??!!

and personally i think that drafting o'neal was a good move..

i'm obviously not expecting roy for gallo (not with 10ppg and 3rpg anyway), but i do think he could become a (super)star in the nba..i guess 20ppg should be his middle/long term goal. he will just need time to adapt to a different style of game

  • Yes I trust Donnie? but its not all about what he wants, I think (many Knicks fan would agree) that if Mark Jackson would've been coach, Danilo wouldn't be in the Knicks. D'Antoni had a lot to do with Donnie picking Gallo.

(btw O'Neal was drafted by the Blazers then traded to Indiana for Dale Davis)

  • Come on Danilo... New York needs you!

  • Now that we have him, he better perform. This is New York City. We wont like you unless you show us what you can do.

  • Can you explain you opinion better? i don't understand what you're saying..

  • im saying he's the 4th small forward we drafted in 5 years. we still have our top pick chandler from last year trying to play. but we draft a guy who we don't need. you cant give any reasons why we needed a 4th small forward in 5 years and our 5th small forward on the team right now. they say he can play the 4? oh please, this boy wont be playing that for a long time. he's too weak. he'll have enough trouble guarding the lebrons and carmelos, who i've seen destroy him in fiba. we needed a Pg

  • would you tell me when u saw him being destroyed by the "lebrons and carmelos" in fiba??

i'll give u some time to think about it, coz danilo never played in fiba

  • i dont need any time. you never saw team usa play against italy? oh, by the way, i've seen the kid plaay on nba tv. they show international games there. oh wait you want more? how about when they had the highschoolers like oj mayo and mike beasley play against the international stars of tomorrow, including him and Nicholas Batum, this ws on fsn. if you have cable vision, its channel 88 i believe. i love following prospects. i've known about GALLINARI , batum,

ibaka, Chen Jianghua. all of them

  • well, first thing, i did see team usa play italy, and the last time it happened, you got your ass kicked!! BUT, unfortunately for us, and luckily for usa, gallinari was not there..that was the year of the olympics in athens, hence 2004...I know gallinari (1988) is a wonder kid, but come on, 14 years old!!

if you're such a careful observer of euro basket, you should know that rarely (maybe once against delonte holland- in a WIN though) this year gallo has been outplayed by a single player

  • oh wait, you want more??

gaallinari did NOT play that game btw high school players and internationals...

so, obviously you don't have a clue of what you're talking about...

  • ddid you see the game? well. did you. if you didn't see the game between the high schoolers and international guys,, you dont have a leg to stand on. and where did i ever mention the oylmpics? why are you putting ords in my mouth?did you not see that they played qualifying games in las vegas last year? i dont care what you say. i've seen the guy before. i've watched him play. i'll repeat. if you have nba tv, they will show international games every now and then.i dont forget these things

  • ok..u asked me if i saw usa play vs italy, and i did..and as i told u the last time this happened was just before the olympics..

qualifying games in vegas had nothing to do with italy nor gallo..

and im sorry to insist but gallinari did NOT play that game. no, i havent seen the game, but i checked the roster on the internet (nike hoop summit 2007). I'm sure you have seen gallinari before, probably not attentively enough though, coz if not u wouldn't be complaining..trust me, its a good pick

  • and please tell me what that has to do with the fact that we didn't need a 5th small forward. we needed a point guard. go ahead and tell me. ill give you time to think.

  • the fact that you've drafted 4 small forwards in the past few years doesn't mean anything, because thy are BAD..

would you pass on kobe only coz you have 4 sg already? im not saying gallinari is anywhere close kobe, i'm just saying that i think u should pick the best talent available, and believe me or not, gallinari, when ny chose, was the best talent. knicks should trade the other (bad) 3s and get a pg

  • GALLINARI was not the best player availibe.he was the best international player availibe.if you dont believe me,see where he would've been drafted if the knicks didn't take him at 6. trade the other bad 3's? are you even a knick fan? nobody wants jeffries. Q rich is a dantoni guy.Balkman can start. and we JUST got chandler with our top pick last year. do you understand how this works? are you following the knicks just cuz of GALLINARI? no PG leaves nate backing up marbury. and he is not a pg

  • i became a knick fan last night, and yes, just coz of gallinari. You're gonna have many more italian fans from now on..not sure you'll appreciate this though..

secondly, you didn't get my point: when ny had to choose, at that particular point, I think there was no better player in the draft (i'm not saying gallo's better than rose coz he had been chosen already, so he wasnt available anymore.)

lastly, if kwame brown was traded for gasol, any player can b traded for anyone..now its up to walsh

  • why wouldn't i appreciate more Italian fans? LMAO. i can tell you dont follow the knicks much by that statement alone. we have Italians everywhere. a huge percentage of knicks fans are Italian. so i dont know why you would say that. and yes, anything is possible, but brown was a guy teams were going after anyways. he has like 1 year left on his contract. jeffries has 4 years at 5 mil. we have a better chance of getting lebron than trading jeffries. he has a contract teams dont want

  • i know u have italians everywhere, that's my point! it was obviously a provocative statement...i would have expected a better reception exactly for that reason.

but anyway, lets end it here. we'll see in a few months..btw, do u know if gallinari is playing summer league this summer, and where?

  • lol, yeah he's Italian, but i dont think they would cheer a guy they know nothing about just because hes Italian.imagine your team needing a pg and you draft some guy you know nothing about. because he's Italian you gotta cheer? we have been losing too long to care about that. nobody wanted dantoni either. his offense makes no sense for us. eddy curry zach randoplh? how can they play his game? so you must understand nobody will get special treatment. and summer league is in vegas, he should play

  • i'm not asking for special treatment just coz he's italian (and neither is danilo, i'm sure), but for a fair treatment, as if he were american (even though i read around that knick fans would have booed anyone, so..). well, in 3 weeks time in vegas you'll start to have an idea of what he can do

  • Now you're all taling bad about this guy...as soon, you're going to f'n eat your own words assholes...LET'S GO DANILO...the best player in that shit team

  • I think that with rose, beasley, mayo and westbrooke gone he's a good sixth pick.. Whatever the fan of new york city are always the worst in nbas' draft... Always.. :(

  • now that they drafted him the knicks will do stupid idea #2 and trade david lee, the only guy with proven tallent on the team

  • in the future i see

    less crowds at MSG

i see fans "go to the bathroom" when gallinari steps out or even to check in

i see knicks fans converting to nets fans because they MADE A SMARTER DRAFT PICK!!!!!

FUCKIN GALLINARI SUCKED UP TO DADDY TO ASK D'ANDTONI TO CONVINCE THE STAFF TO GET HIM

if gallinari wasnt connected they woulda picked lopez

    KNICKS ARE GONNA SUCK NOW

THEY WERE TO DAMN LAZY TO DEVELOP CHANDLER (who is better)

knicks fans are gonna boo this kid no matter what

  • Grande francesco, stanotte bolgia!

  • Tonight we'll know the truth, wherever you'll go, Danilo, always with you..

    Best wishes..

  • bravo tommy io la penso come te...gallinari aiuterebbe new york molto + d beasley mayo e tutta quella gente li...ho seguito fin da subito danilo visto ke sn d pavia e 3 anni fa giocava proprio a pavia senza contare ke faceva la mia stessa scuola e t posso assicurare ke è 1 ragazzo straordinario, sempre pronto x 1 autografo o 1 foto!!forza tommy continuiamo a tifare x il nostro idolo!!!francesco!!!!!DANILO IS THE BEST FUCK THE REST forza pavia

  • NO FUCKIN WAY THEYRE GETTING gallirani

the fans would just kill him there. he would get scared shitless. even patrick ewing was scared to go there. knicks should try to get the #5 pick too. if they do they have to Lee and Rose. If they trade they should get Kevin Love. For the #6 either Westbrook or Gordon. NY needs a guard cause of the marbury situation.

    soo.......

    FUCK GALLIRANI

    New York

where and international play (gallirani) wont dare to play

    XD

  • No, you fuck!!! There are only 2 players that I would draft before Gallinari and these are Derrick Rose and Michael Beasley and, honestly, I don't see any chance to land one of them. Kevin Love is a fat ass. GO NY GO. GO GALLINARI GO.

  • so you would pick OJ Mayo of him??

i dont even think galirani is good enough to perform for a NY crowd cause they are fuckin crazy

    WESTBROOK FOR LIFE

    maybe GORDON!!!!!!!!!

    knicks dont even need gallirani

they got fuckin wilson chandler he was kickin ass in like the 7 games he played

  • omfg, GALLI SUCKS SO MUCH

    ID RATHER GET WESTBROOK

  • Draft Danilo and keep Steph cause he may be motivated since it's his last year of contract... I don't see any PG urgency, the decision has to be delayed to the next year...

  • I'm italian, and a Knicks fan as well: I couldn't agree more with you. Danilo is way more prepared for Nba than Andrea (Bargnani) and Marco (Belinelli). His passional focus, even before his enormous talent, makes all the difference. Besides, he's just 19. In a system of pass-flex offense as D'Antoni is used to set, I see him at his best.

  • This message has been recorded and posted by Gallinari!!! Anyway it would be great for both..

  • I think it'd be a great pick , the kid not only can play, but has a great basketball IQ for his age, strong upper body.

It's just that I'm sure that most NY fans don't trust europeans anymore, and still think college basketball is better than european leagues..

  • he deserved the rising star award this year and the italian league mvp...but he has to improve a lot...in offense whene he goes in low post...but he is amazing

  • I think that Gallinari will be an All Star, NEW YORK HAS TO DRAFT HIM!!!

  • I hope gallinari goes to new york. The idea to see D'Antoni and Gallinari (not the same Gallinari but still a Gallinari :D ) togheter again drive me crazy! Long life to NBA!

  • oj mayo is good but idk if he'll be another marbury.. so i would draft danilo.

  • i'm italian..i hope for you that danilo goes to new york beacause he is really a good player and a good guy

  • siamo sicuri che ci vada???

in cuor mio spero di sì..
