I love this cigar too. I have 2 boxes of the churchill. It has a Criollo 98 or 99 wrapper and tastes great. I personally usually only smoke Ecuadoran cigars, which are harder to get than Cubans. This one is quite special and hit the spot. (CA prices on this cigar are way higher)
I love your short sweet ACCURATE reviews not to mention how easy you are on the eyes! As for the Casa Magna...it is a very nice cigar at an incredible price point. My tobacconist at the Wharf in Beavercreek, OH is doing a special on them right now (buy 2 get 1 free). I think I have about 6 in my humidor now. Keep up the good work!!!!
I wish I could find them. Nice video. I wish you would draw from the cigar. Very interested in seeing the volume of smoke that this cigar produces. Take care
I've got an order coming in on Tuesday of the Churchill and torito versions of this cigar. I'm eager to see what all the fuss is about and intend to go into this with an open mind, as taste in cigars is mostly subjective. I'm a big fan of the 601 BP maduro, as well as 5 Vegas' series A. Cao VR is another regular in the humidor too. I'm sure you've have a go at these, what are your thoughts when in comparison with the Casa Magna?
hey there I've gone through your videos and so far I haven't seen you smoke a rocky patel the edge yet and if you haven't you have to check it out... it's one of my favorites.... it's definitely a medium to full bodied cigar with some chocolate and nutty flavors going on towards the middle and end of the cigar and starts off with a woody tobacco taste... but enough of my opinion I'll let you check it out and tell me what you think.... Enjoy!
I have had the edge- yes, thank you! And I agree with your description exactly as well, a very great opinion ;)
I've had a lancero edge most recently, it had a very easy draw and delicate flavor, the wrapper/filler ratio gave it a very different feel, the woody tobacco taste was more dominant in the one I tasted along with the nutty flavors in the natural, and I'd be curious to try it again.
Very nice again, Teresa....thx 4 the info!! But I still think it would add to your videos if you would demonstrate your smoking technique on the cigars you are reviewing. ie. draw, smoke volume, burn quality, etc. Just my 2 cents :-) D
I'm on the same thinking there, too. Number one for who anyway- that doesn't matter. It is a nice smoke but expecting too much will take away from the experience.
Hi, and thanks for the info on this cigar. I have to admit, I usually buy Cubans here in Japan, largely because I feel privileged simply by the opportunity to do so, but I will definitely search the shops for this Casa Magna, based on your description alone.
Having just found one of your videos here by chance yesterday, I look forward to watching many more during my days off next month. Thanks for providing this great service.
I can respect you wanting to indulge in that privilege, it is a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of, and there is nothing wrong with it at all. The more you explore your palate the more you can discover what stands out to you the most. Let me know if you have one, I hope you enjoy it!
It's a lovely cigar if you can find it, but don't kick yourself if you cannot as there are so many cigars to be appreciated even at that price level. With all the discussion about this one it is a fun experience- but an experience for the cigar, not the rating mentality.
Unfortunately both cigar shops in my town don't carry this brand. I totally agree with what you say about ratings and all. Best way to know if you'll like a cigar is to just try it yourself, rather than take to heart what someone or some magazine says about it. :~)
It is different everywhere you go, I don't know the availability except for what I know and see here. But yes, you have it right- ratings don't mean a thing if the taste is not to your liking. Experience a cigar on its own and make your impressions, after that nothing matters except that you like it. ;)
@ramyg4. I had a huge problem with my draw on this cigar...tasted great, but zero smoke, construction good, draw terrible. But I Weill try another...

I didn't like it. I love H. Uppman, my favorite cigar thus far. I have only smoked them twice but have always been satasfied with it.

Top 25 cigar? Absolutely. #1 for the year? Not so sure about that. It is well worth the price.

No I know, it's just the fact that I had it in my hand at one point, but didn't try it.
