I'll stick to the rod and reel. These fish strike at virtually everything that comes near them anyway.
thats a beautiful spot man. you should try using a berkly powergulp bait. there kind of expencive, but they are worth their weight in gold if you like catching fish. all ya do is hook them and bring it back real slow. if you wind up getting some, post a vid response of u using them.. good luck.
