  • lmao you went in but it needed to be said some people take the natural thing to damn seriously it's sad everybody don't want no plain looking natural hair we like to have fun with the fro and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE UR HAIR

  • AMEN!!!! PREACH IT...im so happy that you are stating this because as you said there is no need for divisions...OUT OF MANY...ONE PEOPLE

  • Haha, people pick the dumbest ways to define natural. I actually had a fellow natural in CVS tell me I'm not completely natural because I shave my armpits and legs. All I could do was stand there and laugh cause the shit was funny to me. No chemicals = natural. Why can't people just leave it at that? We have enough stupid things that divide us unnecessarily already. Nice vid sis :)

  • I LOVE THE COLOR!!!!!!!!!

  • lol you are just as natural as the rest of us naturals, that's like saying well you're not really black because you do not have Kinky hair o_O ... =_= Seriously though?! this is how segregation starts, people look for ways to exclude others when there really isn't a need to be. Hair color is the same as styling your hair, it's a means of self expression... :)

  • fuckin love it.

  • gorgeous hair!

  • Some people want to be the hair police...BE FREE!!!!!!

  • TELL EM' GIRL!!

  • You did what needed to be done thank u

  • Yes, Love, you did go in! But it was NEEDED even if only 4 your own RELEASE. I did a video on the so called "CONSCIOUS community" going over board as well. I mean, just EMBRACE your GROWTH in wherever you've grown and stop LABELING 'ish! BTW.....You know I love the hair! Did something similar 3 years back. That RED IS THE BIZOMB!!!!!! : )'s.....

  • I always laugh when i watch your videos gurlllll you are 2 funny!

  • I have been "natural" {unrelaxed} since 2001-however since I am somewhat older than you I do color the gray. That is my choice. I am still a natural, whether I flat-iron or not. (I haven't flat-ironed in over 4 years, but it's still my choice) Relax my sista, you are fabolous, your hair is beautiful & healthy & so are you!

  • I have been "natural" {unrelaxed} since 2001-however since I am somewhat older than you I do color the gray. That is my choice. I am still a natural, whether I flat-iron or not. • People are retarted , if u choose to flat iron or color you can do so. they act like its against some type of "natural hair constitution" & colorin or flat ironin is illegal smh long as u color ur hair safely nd flat iron w| common sense ur hair will be fine (damage wise)

  • Omg...the "natural hair police" smh...How can some1 judge a person by what they do to THEIR hair? Smh

  • I love that hair color! Very bossy...WORK!!!

  • NOW SUBSCRIBING!

  • When I say natural I mean That i dont relax my hair, I do not eat olny organic food I use products with all kind of stuff in it, do i try to use products with out all that stuff sure but....sometimes i use what ever to get my hair where i want it to be, I am not in a natural gang and if i was not allergic to dyes my hair would be all different colors.

  • This hair is HOTTTT

  • @HoneyBrown1978 Why, thank you! :-D

  • Dis natural thang is just gettin outta HAND! lol as far as IM concerned? if ur not slappin some creamy white stuff in ur hair, burning the mess out yo scalp alterin yo God giving curl pattern? you is N.A.T.U.R.A.L!!! If you wanna color your natural hair fine, you are STILL natural with colored hair.... why must their be DIVISION in the hur communtiteez too? can we all nap along.... smh! #sayin

  • @mushmushangel Aww, jeez. You have me all geeked out right about now. LOL. I LOVE the fact that I can help you, in times that you are feeling discouraged. God bless you. 8-D

  • Speak on it! Totally agree

  • great vid. eleven years natural here! and like u...before the "hype". honestly, i love the fact that people are excited about natural hair. i also love the growth of naturalistas. when i started, there werent so many products, resources, etc...so again, the growth is amazing! although i decided to loc almost 2yrs ago i don't like the division of naturals overall, its not rocket science lol its just hair, beautiful, versatile, uniquely yours, curly, knotty,or nappy...just be Happy! ***smiles***

  • School Daze #aspikeleejoint

  • Well said

  • I agree to the fullest

  • YES!!!!!!!!!! I am so sick of people thinking that because I color my hair, I am no longer natural. People need to mind their business and worry about their own hair.

  • It's just not that serious. I remember I made a video last year and people couldn't handle that I said I don't call myself natural and don't consider myself apart of the process. I just have curly hair and it is what is it is. Some people tried to come for me like I was creating a division or something. I'm glad to see more curly haired people embracing their curls and the beauty of them-- but how and what I do with my hair and what you do with yours is your business.

  • PREACHHHHHHHH!!!!!

  • DO YOU!!! later for them...I'm simply tired of all the division I don't perm my hair. PERIOD! I color sometimes, I wear wigs some time, and I'm not a vegan...People we simply must get over the DIVISION, and simply learn to embrace each other PERIOD! Early in life I found out doing everyone(their opinions) made me tired) Sooooooo I'm just doing me!

  • I don't know what this is all about. What I do know is your are so fierce and I wish I could wear that red like you. Like Cindy Lauper said, "...girls just wanna have fun." I sincerely thought the "natural" hair phenomenon would bring more awareness of what we are doing to our hair. Whether you are natural, relaxed, tex-laxing, color treating, wearing wigs/ weave, and hair maintenance in general. I think some folk like to create classes of ppl for power control.

  • @zheahra LOL! Thanks, fam. I agree with you fully. I think some people want to "feel" some type of superiority.

  • One of the BEST videos I have seen!!!!!!!!

  • @lolipop2004 Awwww shucks! LOL. Why, thank you. 8-D

  • I've been my natural for 3 yrs and youtube has been agreat go-to for instruction/tips/advice. However, I have noticed that there is a lot of unnecessary division among naturals. Why can't people just accept others for who they are and what they want to do b/c at the end of the day, my hair is connected to my head and your hair is connected to your head. We're both natural (hair unaltered by chemicals). Does your "natural" really need to be better than mine... why the debate???

  • FIRST OF ALL... Your hair is awesome! I have always been a fan of red hair! I totally agree. God bless!

  • @divinelynaptural Why, thank you! :-D

    ~God Bless you as well~

  • I like you...Ur funny in a seri0us way lol lol

  • @CherryAppetite HaHa! Thanks. :-D

    ~God Bless~

  • Omg!! Vivalacious I most def have to sub. to ur page because u are tell the truth girl i get sick and tried of this natural divison i see on youtube, and it just totally nonsense!!! and im a newly natural myself and don't give in to all the hoopla lol, and i still don't understand y naturals call it a journey????? it's just hair growning !!!! i seriously don't think its life changing either?? lol i mean hair is just hair!! lmbo

  • Back in the day i would have thought you were wearing a wig or weave. but after seeing what my hair can do and others i would think you were natural and i agree with you, i plan to blow dry or flat iron on occasion but not all the time. Im also planning on dying my hair like yours lol!!!!

  • JUST CALL IT YOUR BIOLOGICAL* CURL....SO TIRED OF THIS NATURAL HAIR THING I'M RELAXED AND I STILL CALL MY HAIR NATURAL AS LONG AS I'M WEAVELESS...LOL...

  • Amen girl!!!!, Preach on

  • LOVE the color. What products did you use on this style? I have color too girl. PREACH!

  • @TrueCityGirl Hey, fam. I have a few videos inside my "Hair Jazz" playlist. You can find it on my channel. I have a video in which I discuss the products I use for my hair, if you'd like to check it out. Hope it helps! :-)

  • Girl, say it again!!!! lol!

  • I'm so glad you made this video because the main that try to categorize what a natural is has only been natural for only about a year or two

  • Thank you SO much.!! I really appreciate this video. Going natural is simply wearing your hair in it's natural state without it being altered with a perm.. nothing more, nothing less. It has nothing to do with what types of foods your eat. Sometimes people do and say too much.

  • AMEN!

  • girl u let them know. SAY IT AGAIN!!!! YOU DID THAT

  • girl, girl ilove it about time somebody broke it down thank GOD . i love it and your hair is gorgeous looking awesome with that color

  • Love it. I'm a color treated natural who flat irons my hair as well. I live in Houston so this only happens in the cooler months. I wear weaves and braids as protective styles and this make me no less natural the the individual who doesn't do these things. It such a shame that this topic is always coming up. Ive been given the side eye and questioned by naturals who don't color treat their hair and it's a shame. It's so sad that there has to be division among everything we do.

  • I agee I am natural and my hair is colored and I am not organic...I wish ppl would quit this separation. It's like ppl r trying to divide this lovely movement that is bringing us together...so sad..all this rly doesn't make a difference.

  • @vivalalious, oh ok... See when I cross that path ill definitly do my research for proper straightening, n u are amadou right any anything loosening ur curls... I mean natural is natural, n all naturals have their different reason for being "natural" ... I say to each its own.. Btw I love ur color I want to color line sooo bad but... That's just something I'm not ready to do.. But I commend u for maintaining healthy bleached, color treated NATURAL hair... U GO GIRL

  • @Msheavensynt HaHa! Thanks, fam! :-D

    ~God Bless~

  • Preach it girl, Preach!!!!!

  • The word "natural" is so over used, especially in our modern world where we have artificial everything. So the word "natural" went from being less of an adjective to more of a noun (look up dictionary . com's definition, it has "Afro" as it's last meaning). Maybe people should be more specific, like when you said "Natural-Color Treated Individual". I would name be "non-chemical natural". But even then it's too much labeling going on. I hust left Lowe's and now I'm chillin. LOL.

  • @Vivalacious I am a licensed cosmetologist and your right we should stop the madness and the division it.s absolutely ridiculous it shouldn't matter if you are natural and you press your hair example Queen Latifah or if your natural and you wear an afro Esperanza Spalding because when the water hits it it reverts back to its "NATURAL" state. Also if you have any permanent hair color it does change the texture of your hair the more peroxide and bleach are breaking it down. P.S. I love your hair

  • I completely agree....the craziness must end. Things in the natural community have become to extreme in many ways. I don't know why certain people feel the need to check others because they're not following " organic" natural paths....to each their own. I follow a more natural organic path, my mother doesn't...it doesn't bother me in the least. LOL@Take several seats....too funny.

  • Sorry for the typos I hate swype

  • To embrace their natural curl pattern. I don't demean those who flat iron their hair, our color their hair because I don't... its theirs. to me they are still natural. I just chose not to do those things. I may change my mind later on but right now I am embracing my natural without heat, n chemical color.Everyone has their own idea off natural, and many do what works for them. Rather it be coloring, weaving, straightening etc.... EVERY HUMAN BEING IS DIFFERENT, Every natural is different.

  • I completely agree but isnt constantly flat ironing your hair, sort of adhering your curl patteen, because after time wouldn't your curls loosen?.

I have been transitional natural for 2 years now, I hanged no relaxed ends. I chose to seledomly put heart toy hair and not flat iron it at all since march 2011 When people ask me why I don't put heat to my hair or tell me I can still be natural I proudly let them no, that people go natural for a number if reason, from to have healthy hair, or

  • @Msheavensynt If you properly care for your hair before and after flat ironing, then your curls will be fine. Protein treatments are great for the hair, in these cases. The thing is, ANYthing can loosen your curl pattern, even something as little as the weather.

  • I do what I want with my hair, I don't care how other people feel about me coloring my hair. When I was relaxed I had the same issue with people saying negative things about me coloring my hair blond or red. If we let what other people say or think change our personalities we won't really be ourselves any more. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't want to be a clone.

  • I cosign!

  • Have SEVERAL seats.... yessssssssssss

  • YES, YES, YES! Thank you for this video. I'm natural and I color my gray and others who aren't natural who have heard all of these rules try to say I am no longer natural. Please get out of my face with that mess!!! Like you said, "Stop the Madness."

  • Right on

  • Go in girl!!!lol

  • @yvonnelee1999 You hit it right on the head. Thus, the invention of "Internet Thugetry". Most of the time, these things are said on forums, and such.

  • i agree sweetie

  • yes! love this video, I agree with you 100%

  • i think that this argument is facilitated by some hairstylists (including mine) who believe color to be a chemical. she told me that if i colored my hair, i would not be natural (she is relaxed by the way) because it would relax my curl pattern. so, i didn't color it. however, what other people do with their hair is none of my concern. i'm not the natural police. so if they like it, i love it. :-)

  • @suthernbella I can understand that. But, color should NOT affect the curl pattern, UNLESS done improperly. One should prepare the hair before and after, with treatments, to avoid ANY change in hair pattern. The truth of the matter is, things as little as the environment can affect our hair/curls...

  • Yea u guys are right I dont understand this "division" even among "relaxed" and "naturals". In essence we are letting one word and our hair define who we are as people. When it isn't even that big of a deal, if someone has gone on a healthy hair journey but chose a different route than you that doesn't make them less of a person or ther hair less beautiful. It is your hair love it,embrace it and take care of it whether you are "relaxed","natural", or in between.

  • I was thinking the same thing about back awhile ago there was no divide, I hate where all this is taking the natural community.

  • So all I am saying is your hair does not have to be "virgin" to be "natural".

  • I agree this is getting out of hand. I believe people are confusing the terms "virgin" & "natural".So let me help you all.Virgin hair refers to hair that has not been chemically treated OR damaged by: heat, chemicals, harsh shampoos, conditioners or ANY NATURAL elements such as wind, sun, or even cold weather. So technically speaking most of us can't say we have "virgin" hair because our hair has suffered, regardless of the severity,a certain extent of damage.

  • Yea..I like this, people just become obsessed I think!

  • Why not stop assuming people are talking down on you (ms 9 years ago i was natural) and accept they have a different opinion then you. (by the way can you please show me the video of a natural saying this stuff, you claim they say because ALL I see are people complaining about it. No shade please send me a video)

  • @kagome304 I never said people were talking down on ME. I was answering a discussion by another youtuber, Hence....my Video Response. There are Plenty of videos AND forums around, and plenty of testimonies on this issue. Might you want to research it yourself? I've done my part.

  • Lmao "find several seats ..and take them" hahaha! You go hunny

  • thats right you tell em :) people should calm down get some business

  • Video's like this get me a little upset. I feel like people like YOU are creating division in the hair community. Why when you hear something that may concern you do feel attacked and not actually think about what is actually being said. A white girl with who has straight brown hair is NATURAL!!! As long as she was born like that, the word natural does not refer to a curl pattern it's the way something originally is the way it came out your head.

  • @kagome304 What are YOU talking about? I never said that black people were the only people with natural hair. We're discussing natural hair, as it refers to the black communtiy. No shade. This is just the topic of discussion. I take it you've never seen any of my other videos? That's cool. I don't like ANY division. I'm referring to "Natural", as it refers to MY head. We are discussing kinks/coils. You might want to take one of those seats I was speaking of..

  • @kagome304 ugh you one of those that need to sit down...dont even know what you're talking about! Obviously it has been an issue if she made a video about it...natural hair community division has been going on for years. We are referring to ethnic groups when we talk about natural hair. You're just talking out your behind! Natural hair refers to curl pattern because in that case a person who cuts their hair is no longer "natural" because the ends arent original and will never be the exact same.

  • @1msjp the only issue I see is u and self esteem y do you think someone really cares enough to attack you. Natural hair dose not mean hair texture it mean the way the hair is coming out of your head. It didn't come out your head red, blue or gold and no is trying to make a big deal but you people making videos about nothing but people who relay on the actual definition of natural I've been natural my whole life and yes there's never been a manual but there has always been a dictionary.

  • Maybe you should have a sit in somebody's classroom and read one.

  • @kagome304 ???. You're not even making sense now. You seem confused. I'm sure this ALL went over your head, so...Child Bye. Let me do you a favor. *Blocked*

  • Yeeeeessssss!!!!@ "find a seat; find SEVERAL seats, and take them!"

  • LOL yEAH YOU WENT INNNN!!!! LOL LOVE IT!!

  • You did that!

  • Do white folks go through all this drama in dividing themselves like we do? Golly gee, no wonder black folks are more prone to have high blood pressure. Who CARES what we do to our hair! Just take a seat and mind your own! lol

  • @Mverick1219 LMBO @ high blood pressure. You might be on to something!

  • I LOVE IT!!!! and i love love love your hair curl pattern and color

  • Loving the bifocal analogy....that gave me life

  • *sings* LET THE CHURCH SAY YESSSSSSS!!! Girl, you betta PREACH! Ive said this before and I will say it again. I think these holy than thou naturals are part of the mean girls club. I'm natural by the way and some of them got me smfh. If you see a gang of naturals coming your way, head for ze hills lol.

  • ur keeping it 100 girl, that's whats up!!!!!!

  • Great video response!

  • @MsKelabug Thanks, ma! I had to let some of it OUT, chile. This mess is getting ridiculous. Half the one's running around talking all that extra jazz, will be the first in line to get the NEXT hair trend, come tomorrow-year.

  • I agree. I find that naturals who have been natural for yrs tend to go by this definition...."natural being based on altering your curl pattern". When did "no mineral oil, no color," etc come in the picture? And many ppl have tried to check me about WEARING MAKE UP! Really??? I told some1 not only do I wear make up....I wax, shave, wear deodorant, wore braces on my teeth, etc, etc.

  • @LuBellaCoils They dare NOT come to you about makeup. Whaaaat? *Woo-sah* People are REALLY trying it.

  • talk to em mama!! some folks just go too damn far!!

  • @armywife2248 i know plenty of relaxed women who are vegan, or totally organic. i don't know what the hair has to do with it, lol!

  • @armywife2248 LOL! Okay. Somebody PLEASE tell me how can you achieve "Organic" hair follicles. o_O

  • THANK YOU!!!!! I wish someone would address me and how I wear/style etc about" My" natural hair. I thinks some natural have an issue with other naturals curl patterns, versatility etc. All heads of hair will not look the same.

  • @fdrobe1 and i agree with you 100%! some naturals even try and divide each other by texture and this a, b, c, and 1, 2, 3 stuff.

  • Did you just tell them to go to Lowes????? *Dead* LOL I love you sooo much!!!

  • "Find several seats and take them" you are so hilarious! Thank you for this video

  • i totally concur!

  • Exactly....

  • I concurred!

  • Your hair is beautiful and I'm loving the colors!!!! You do what you have to do!!

  • I agree 100!

  • love the passion lol

  • Lol. Girl you crazy. Loved it. I personally love your color and am really thinking bout coloring mine. I have to keep it basic color though because my acting teacher would slice my throat if I messed up my chances to be cast by being to out there (i.e. standing out too much) Lol.

  • I've worn my hair in its natural texture for 10 years, in recent years there's more enlightenment on how to maintain natural hair textures and keep the hair in great condition, some may have contributed to the division with what they deem to be 'Natural'.It’s great if we choose to take the step further and have a complete natural lifestyle it’s not for us to dictate to others what being natural is.If the hair texture is not permanently altered then your hair texture is natural.

  • I see someone is a skorpisn show fan! :) boan I couldn't agree more I'm sick of everyone trying to clique up and divide.

  • Tell it! This natural thing is beginning to be a tad bit much for some people, smh. o_O

  • Truth!!!

  • Like i said on her channel" I LOVE ELETRIC RED". I also am natural with red in the front of my hair. You go girl!!!!

  • @MsRouge2000 Awww jeez. You gave me a shoutout, fam? HaHa! #GeekMode

  • i dont give a hoot! lol you are hill larry us! Red is my color and you wear it well.

    PLEASE. STOP. IT.

  • Preach!!!!

  • Amen sista! Very well said!

  • Excellent!

  • Tell em girl its got to stop the kraziness has gotten ridiculous

  • CHECK PLEASE! Thank you and good night!!! HA!!! Love both of you ladies videos.
