I dont quite get the whole thing about shooting people up to the yeeha's and woops of your countryman, then coming home and stripping yourself of service medals to the yeeha's and woops of your countryman. Saying that I didn't see anything here that could not be justified by any battalion commander. We all know the atrocities caused by everyone in war and peacetime everywhere (in a military setting). What I am surprised by is that the comments suggest people are surprised by this!? War IS war..

Most people will become alcoholics, or have some other negative outlet for what they did - keeping what happened to themselves and keeping it a secret. He choose to tell the world what he and others did is wrong and apologized. He did it publicly and on film (standing up) telling everyone what he and others did and what continues to happen is wrong (what he believes in).
