1. Yes we need protection from terrorists who are in this country communicating with their leaders to plan attacks.
2. Yes, the telecom companies need immunity from blame for doing this surveillance.
3. UNLIKE the original bill, which allowed the Bush administration to bypass the FISA courts, ALL eavesdropping NOW needs to be done by a court-approved warrant.
4. The Attorney General will prosecute any case, past present or future that was done illegally.
Yet Mr. Obama voted for this horrid bill that belittles the constitution......ralph nader seems to look more appealing now...Obama needs to think before he acts
LMAO silly Dems we (GOP) OWN MANY of "your" politicians .
Hmmm I do recall the last vote on immunity to phone companies and the Pelosi promices to end Iraq war funds LMFAO. Cute little Dem voters being betrayed heeheee its just to funny
To me he seems to be a very intelligent and good at calming down the situation and deflecting questions like a professional actor, he is definetly gonna win hes even slicker than Clinton and he doesn't ever loss his cool hes been mentored well by Brezinski his advisor and seems to do all the right things like publicly being opposeed to NAFTA while still wine and dine with the CFR and if your hanging out with the business elite and there plans for a North American Union your guilty by association
I have a measure of hope in Obama, but his absense from the chamber the day Kyle/Liebermann passed is a nasty scar on his record, in my view. Since the passing of that ammendment, he's come out against it, but words are cheap when you had a vote to cast, and waived that right. I hope he will be more careful in the future as to what landmark votes he misses in order to shake hands with Iowans.
I think he was actually in NH, and Harry Reid, Dem Pres of the Senate, scheduled the vote with a 1-hr notice, after he knew Barack was too far to get back in time. Harry's son is Hillary's surrogate in NV.
Harry Reid promised that the vote would not come up that day-- so Obama left DC to campaign, knowing he would not miss this vote. Hours later, Reid called the vote. It seemed like a nasty political move from the Majority Leader who would like to keep Clinton in the White House.
Good, and I hope you dismiss all the BS that Bush put in place as well. Freedom requires a few crazies, and putting up with things, people, and ideologies that don't not all people like. I suppose spying is okay, but only as long as it's for one purpose, not for a long period of time.. and not to intrusive.
I see you don't understand.

5 stars and added to favorites!
Though, isn't it sad that a candidate for US President even has to argue that "our Constitution works?"
I have such hope that Barack Obama can bring back what's great about America and keep America safe AND free!
Thx 4 uploading this video :-)

I can't even emagine doubting that Obama is the very best candidate there is.
Best, for everyone, and not just for the top layers of American society. That's real democracy.
Ps; English is not my native language so forgive me for any writing mistakes.
