  • I`d love someone who could upload this match on court level xD it`d be amazing¡¡

  • OK I remember this match, Federer pretty much pulled Roddocks soul out of his body screwed it up and through it in the trash, it had to be the shortest and longest match of Roddicks career, almost felt sorry for him.

  • roddick needs to be putting the volleys away that he doesn't get passed on...

  • I don't agree to anyone who says Roger is everything, because if Roger is the king of all time then each set should be all 6-0.

  • @MrRyanccm wait ur saying a king is perfect? cos thats just stupid, of course kings make mistakes they are all human like us, and we aint perfect either.

  • @MrRyanccm I'm still trying to understand what u said ... What????/

  • Afer first 3 seconds it was all clear to me where this was going...

  • It's weird, for a former number 1, Roddick's backhands and net games are not as good...

  • 2:50 too

  • 6:49

  • ooooo...roddick must've been CHISZLE!!!

  • Fed moves like a cat, so light it's hard to hear his steps. It's all Roddick's sneakers you can hear. I think this is one of Fed's best looking tennis attires, and Roddick's white cap is classy, too.

  • Very well-edited selection. Thanks.

  • Roddick should have taken his earnings from this tourney and gave it to Fed for the lesson.

  • proof of roddicks genius 5:34..... thats pretty much it in this match

  • how can roger federer ever loose a tennis match...

  • @6amar82 But Roddick was playing against God himself :)

  • Look how Roddick shakes hands with the umpire at the very end. I liked that. Shows respect. Hardly any player even looks at the man when shaking his hand after the match.

Oh and great tennis by the way :-)

  • I didn't know you can upload rape video here

  • This is possibly the best tennis video i have ever seen

  • roddick's footwork is soo bad T.T

  • every body shhhhhhh shhhhhhhhh.....(whisper)the genius is at work

  • Roddick is struggling here - gets in good position but not enough penetration (cue double entendres!)

  • This Federer is only beatable in one of three ways

    a) Pay him

    b) Beg him

    c) Magic

  • why he dont play like that now?

  • Roddick comes in off of the dumbest approach shots. Roddick slice approach shot to Fed's forehand = rape passing shot.

  • @rogerfederer2424 ya lol, absolutely right, the guy just seems to come in on every shot no matter the situation. Can't play stupid like that.

  • the strength on these guys.. it's like they're hitting ping pong balls..

  • Andy doesn't hit the ball deep enough

  • Loooooved the footwork of Federer on the 6:55 point.

  • @sasook Graceful.

  • Is it just me or does the color of Roddick's shirt change towards the end?

  • @candylover233able I think he changed shirts

  • @Taylor13371337 I know, but don't players only have one design for their outfit for every tour?

  • @candylover233able idk maybe blue shirts help him play

  • @candylover233able not really, some players have two or three outfits in the same tournament

  • Insane thrashing. Nuff said.

  • KDR is 3.0 :P

  • he's just in the zone!

  • yes best federer

  • Best Federer performance I ever saw.

  • Roger Federer is so incredible here, it is not human! Andy Roddick was no where near playing badly at all in this match but Roger just dominated, he is brilliant.

  • GREATNESS.

  • It looks like Roddick got his ass kicked even though he played a pretty descent match.

  • FEDERER IS THE BEST. THERE IS A RIGHT AND WRONG ANSWER! FEDERER IS THE right answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 8:59 made me laugh so much

  • Nadal is a good player, but Federer represents another "dimension" of tennis. Nadal's is a hard-hitter and he tries to pull the opponent off the field to score. Federer creates a hit/a stroke. It's like comparing Michael Schumacher to Ayrton Senna.

  • 7:32 Roddick used new t-shirt

  • Federer knows where Roddick is going to hit it before Roddick knows where he's going to hit it.

  • @ACO4L SHARINGAN

  • @ACO4L haha Such a good comment.

  • @ACO4L

funny how this isnt exaggerating the truth at all

  • GOD damnit...dangit...GOD darnit...pretty much sums up the match for me

  • Roddick's is a one-dimensional player. Why doesn't he or his coach realizes that it's easier to slice a backhand with one hand than try to block with two? One hand slice give your reach, accuracy, and time to re-position yourself (look at Roger's use of the backhand slice). It simply keeps you in the rally and a chance to counter-attack. If Roddick never develops a one hand slice, he will always fail. Tennis is not all about brute power! It's still a finness game at times.

  • Federer's backhand is seriously equivalent to his forehand.. you just don't see that often, espcially when both are phenomenal.

  • poor roddick

  • Roger is the best to ever play the game

  • most beautiful match Roger has ever played

  • I burst into laughter after the first point! LOL

  • wöw_sücht_màl_NÂch:_geldeasy_âúf_gò0glÈ

  • federer completely killed him here and roddick wasn't even playing bad.. I really wished that roddick would have beaten federer in wimbledon that time, i don't think he'll ever get a chance like that again at beating federer and winning a grand slam..

  • lol i wanna go back in time and tell roddick to STAY AWAY FROM THE NET!

  • intractable!

  • Roger's just ruined Roddick's career

  • here we can see federer treating roddick like his own son

  • cvd

  • i was at this match in the front row on the right where the players come in. I will remember this performance from Roger for the rest of my life. Ill tell my grandkids that i saw the greatest tennis player of all time at the peak of his powers ply his trade. Simply stunning

  • @graham7658 cool story bro

  • I remember, back in 2007, that Roddick said on OZ TV that (over Federer) : The gap is closing, the gap is closing... And then the match came, and it was pure destruction.... LOL

  • 7/7 break points taken and all pretty much winners you'll never see that happen to Roddick by any other player.

  • roddick doesn't suck... look at all the sweet winners he forced federer to hit, he gave it his all

  • Roger Federer is the best male tennis player -ever! None of the others compare. He has all the shots, every single one,he is gracious when slaughtering his opponents, his court movements is the envy of ballerinas, he applies his mind and actually thinks his way to victory in difficult matches. He serves and volleys better than anyone now, his drop shot is awesome and his 'tweener' is absolutely unbelievable! Oh, and above all, he doesn't PICK HIS ASS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Edwardlovesleather Haha I couldn't have put it better myself

  • the only thing roddick needs to work on is his game....hes too predictable with his shots am i wrong?

  • @El7IncA ER,excuse me, but KING roger has the most SLAMS! And Rafa will never get as many! That is how greatness is measured in tennis. Rafa needs to keep picking his ass and leave beautiful tennis to guys like Roger!!! And nadal should be relieved he came along after Roger was past his best, and even in his twilight King Roger is still whupping that spaniard's ass, even at 30 years of age!!!! Now that is greatness!

  • @Edwardlovesleather He has won more slams cuz he is older u stupid ignorant fuck...remember this Nadal is gonna get more slams than federer and there we'll see that the only one can be RAFAEL NADAL!!!...

  • @Edwardlovesleather Please show some respect to Nadal! his styles just as good Federer

  • @El7IncA Let's see if the proof of nadal genius can do against Djokovic this year.. He is playing like kid :D

  • @ekibosna Nadal just beat fagderer and won the french open, and won his sixth title, and he is still the #1, about djokovic, he prepared himself to beat Nadal on those 4 games they played, but watch out, Nadal is gonna find a way to destroy djokovic everytime he faces him. VAMOS RAFA!!...

  • @El7IncA I don't understand why you call him fagderer maybe because you are a fag, you're also that type of rafa fan who cries out loud about it and hating anyone else on the tour

  • @calugcug21 Rafa fan who cries?. tell me who's the one who cried in Australian againts Rafa?. LOL!!!...

  • @El7IncA wow you took that literally, what has happened to the world *Sigh*

  • @El7IncA Yeah, that exactly what happened LOL. Faggot.

  • @El7IncA He can... and has.. Stop hating.

  • @cj397 i dont hate, i just see the reality, Nadal has won more battles againts federer!...from History it will GO to legend!...VAMOS RAFA!!!....

  • @El7IncA The only thing Rafa beats King Roger at is the ass picking contest. Rafa wins everytime.Rafa will never ever be as popular or successful as KING Roger. It's as simple as that! Take a poll. take a survey. check the net- Roger is a more complete player ,by far, than the scrowling ass picking spaniard. The world loves that Swiss man! he plays beautiful tennis, rafa on the other hand just smacks the shit out of the ball as hard as he can and ..and..and..well, that's it I guess. lol...

  • @Edwardlovesleather bla bla bla....Nadal King of Tennis!!!....federer The King of Baby Crying!...HAHAH...

  • @Edwardlovesleather OMG- DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON NADAL???? HAHAHA! U LITTLE FAGGOT!!! OMG, YOU're so gay. and judging from your nasty obsceneties, I can tell you don't have a college degree.Maybe you didn't even graduate high school. You little faggot.....lol..you're so nasty, like your boyfriend the asspicking nadal who will never (ever) win any slams more than KING ROGER hahahahah!

  • @Edwardlovesleather Let forget that Nadal fitness is far superior to other players

  • federer at his absolute best right here

  • this commentator does not do federer justice

  • im a die-hard roddick fan,but this match is the proof of greatness. Roger Federer is the greatest player of all time, hands down. Dominating Roddick like that during a best of 5 sets match? Not easy at all. Sure, you can take andy down in straight sets, but this was just too much.Roger new where the ball was going even before Andy hit it. IT WAS TOO MUCH. He will eventually win another major...I hope

  • @blinkMATIC i totally understND.. WHAT YOU'RE saying but.....right now he is a fraction of what he use to be,,,,he needs the drive or confindence,,,,,,,

  • @blinkMATIC No, Roddick will probably not make it past the semis. With Djokovic, Nadal, Federer or Del Potro in the way, it won't happen. I would have liked to have seen him win the aussie open or wimbledon, but the surfaces have gotten slower and the competition too stiff.

  • 2:47/2:52 is an unbelievable point , one of the best i ever seen

  • @zampadel Actually one of the few points that Federer has thanked the audience in-game.

  • Even though I hate Roddick. I do not underestimate that he has very great talent.

Me ?? I don't picture myself serving an 155MPH serve.

Me?? I don't picture myself winning the US Open.

Me?? I don't picture myself getting to 3 Wimbledon Finals.

Me?? I don't picture myself with a head to head record against Federer 19-2. It'd be more like 21-0.

But despite Roddick's ugly game with awful approach shots he is talented. But he just lacks the flair Federer has.

    That is tennis.

  • @ruaridh2k7 Make that 20-2.

  • Roddick has got such ugly technique it's not even funny. But I like him.

  • Probably the best one-set performance ever played that deep in a major. Sublime.

  • wow...what a one sided match, in pro levels....this is like me playin my little bro. roddick should go on some serious trainin

  • GOD DAMN THING IS GOSH DARNIT

  • You would think Roddick would learn to start to stay away from the net.

  • This was Federer at his very PEAK!

  • @outlaw777 i agree he won every match straight sets even the final

  • @outlaw777 At his very peak???...Are you sure about that?. Don't the yankes who call themselves Americans?, should be supporting Roddick instead and not Federer?. wow i can see these so call american people don't have dignity. they like to kiss fagderer ass in from of his own player.....thats why....VAMOS RAFA!!.....forever!...

  • @El7IncA Who says I was American? Get your facts right sunshine. Your all mouth, no class! Nadal has the best mental strengh Ive ever seen on court.

  • @outlaw777 i never say u are an american, im just saying how these so call Americans like to kiss fagderer ass in front of his own player, now i'm all mouth and no class?...Let me tell you something class will take you no where, remember this, what matters is the racket and the balls. VAMOS RAFA!!!....

  • @El7IncA Looks like your boy RAFA will win Wimbledon again.

  • @outlaw777 *cough cough*

  • Jesus Fed.

    Ah, those were the days.

  • most of their plays are similar.

  • What an utter miracelto watch. Utter bliss. Nobody comes close to the magically power, poise and finesse. Thank God for Roger. 2.08 just takes the biscuit.

  • sandy roddick should switch to a control oriented midsize racquet like what federer uses then he wouldn't get owned so much.

  • @thisislaser lol like the racket matters.

  • @cj397 If it doesn't matter than why does Roger use a custom string pattern with the mains farther apart and the crosses closer together?

  • @thisislaser People use different string patterns that give them the feel that they want and different access to spins. what does that have to do with anything? him changing a racket so late in his career isn't really the best thing when he's been playing with the same thing for over 10 years

  • @cj397 Rafa Nadal uses the Babolat for topspin. That's all it's good for. Roddick doesn't strike the ball anymore and 100 sq inch rackets have no control to begin with. Mid size rackets with open patterns are superior. It's a fact that you're swinging less mass through the air with the smaller more accurate head size. Even if he went from a 100sq inch piece of shit to a 95sq racket he'd play slightly better. I don't think babolat makes control rackets. Just shit for pushing the ball.

  • @thisislaser Control is up to the players, not the racquet. You can't just say that 100+ sq in racquets have no control especially if so many champions utilized them. Surely there's more power potential, but look at how well Agassi controlled his shots.

  • @NYLifeInNJ True, but Agassi had to use Luxilon string to control those rackets due to their power. These days I mostly see ball pushing. Look at Novak Djokovic. His best tennis was with a wilson mid when he won AO. Now he uses a large head racket and is no longer a favorite to win the majors. `

  • @thisislaser Fyi, Djokovic is still using a 93 sq in HEAD racquet. If you must know, his old "N Blade" doesn't feel anything like a true Wilson racquet. He's no longer a favorite because of inconsistency and that so many idiots still think that Murray has a shot at a title. Like I said before, strings only affect durability/comfort not control or power.

  • @NYLifeInNJ He's using a 98 sq like he used to. Luxilon string doesn't move so it obviously offers more control than regular shit string. Head prestige 93 is the only mid racquet made by head and he's not using that. Fyi, I hate Andrea Murray.

  • this isnt rlly proof of federer's genius...its proof of roddick's stupidity :) n oh yea federer is smart

  • Roger federer doesn't play tennis,he plays violon.

  • Comment removed

  • its been an hour and 18minutes of .........'genius'

    come back federer!!!!

  • Roddick made a lot of bad decisions with his shots in this game.

  • dear god when is Roger going to hire himself a frigging coach?

  • SUDDENLY, BLACK SHIRT

  • federer, quite frankly, just does not play like this anymore. i dont mean in regard to the outcome of his shots or anything, but the style of play where he would play many more forehands compared to now really is a thing of the past. what a beautiful player he was tho.

  • This is match is really Federer's peak. He never played better than this match

  • "god damn" sorry god l0l

  • 00:10

Why does he not go down the line?

  • @y11971alex because this happens at 1.14 :)

  • uhmmag jemand quatschen bin ne ganz liebe aber irgendwie total einsam im moment

  • Wow Andy Roddick is a great guy but he's just not that good... He's not even an intelligent player and he doesn't even have any weapons. even his serve is not that powerful, most players have no problem blocking it back. His forehand is an example of "patting" the ball as opposed to "thumping" it like Sampas and Federer do

  • @DestroyerAlexandros Agreed about his forehand. Early in his career when he flattened it out it was a monster. Now he just pushes it with too much spin.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros uh huh so i guess you clearly dont stay up to date. if you've seen his serve lately you'd see the variety of spins and pace he has put on it. and you say he "pats" his forehand but really its just that he has a windshield wiper forehand as opposed to federer and sampras whose strokes go through more. as far as pace, roddick is hitting just as hard or harder than federer

  • i think roddick is the slowest player. anyones opinoin on this?

  • don't know about the years before but he's pretty quick around the court.

He plays a lot smarter and places the balls better now then the above video.

07 was the year in which he tried to stone volley everything, nice to watch but wasn't effective against the top guys.

  • @trojanwar1995 Not only is he slow he also has no confidence in his forehand.

  • wow! sucks for roddick in this match! totally hopeless!

  • 9.00???

  • Just Awesome!

  • Roger uses Luxilon Big Banger rough on the mains of his racquet. Roddick uses Pro Hurricane. That string is useless. It's only good for ball pushing. Also Federer uses a man's racquet. Roddick uses a child's racquet thanks to the sinister Eric Babolat.

  • @thisislaser no, roger uses wilson natural gut on the whole stringbed and sometimes, he uses luxilon alu power in the crosses, with gut in the main´s, but he mostly natural gut´s everything.

  • Who gives a fuck about Roddick. I was talking about how you shut people up by saying just because they can't play means they should not make any comments toward the player. Click on the comment page to see which of your comments I was talking about.

  • I love what they say around 6:20

  • @stueystu1 and your point is? So I bet you never make any comments about professional sports since you don't play anything at professional level. I come across this type of comment sometimes and it never fails to piss me off. As a sports fan you are allowed to make comments.

  • great critics are normally those who can't play and are normally those who are pimple faced eating spaghetti everyday in his chamber smoke smelling little room $300 monthly rent, feeling some sort of self-satisfaction when he types those dirty words in youtube and see people replying to that, checking every youtube he has commented until he goes to work in seven eleven then comes back to check again

  • roddick looked so pissed off at 6:53, lost his serve 5 consecutive times. and who can blame him, this is one of the greatest tennis performances ever!!

  • LOL at his face when Roddick "threw" his racquet at 5.08 - 5.10

  • 3:08 wow!!

  • actually, federer is hardly humble at all, and you can see this in all of his interviews, but he certainly does have the right of being arrogant since he has been dominant for so long. back then he had a realistic chance of breaking his opponents on each one of their service games.

  • Actually Federer is very humble. Some of his comments appear arrogant to the naive, but it's impossible for him to talk about his lofty accomplishments without speaking the truth. It would be like God saying "creating the world, ah, it was nothing, anyone can do it." It's about perspective.

  • i'm a fed fan, but even so, it's hard to say that he is humble. instead of just commenting on his game, he goes out of his way to attack others sometimes, like criticizing other people's games, including his attack on women's tennis. granted, most of those happened in 2008 and early 2009 when he was still in a slump, so it's certainly not indicative of his humility at all times. actually, he started our very humble early on in his career, and became more arrogant as his weeks at no 1 rose.

  • @retox too bad god didn't create earth

  • @madden462 Thank you! that was exactly what i was gonna say!

  • Federer shows humility in his interviews and speaks in a matter-of-fact tone. Compare his attitude to other elite athletes and he's among the most humble. Many athletes in the NFL, MLB etc are too dim to make intelligent comments so they parrot platitudes they were taught in the locker room, thus they can occasionally sound humble, or the free-thinkers come off as very arrogant.

  • one things i love about roger federer is that he is one of the humble most talented players in history, and he has made other players as humble as him, roddick is a good player but thing for sure he is not humble, by losing to federer a lot it has made him humble, and actually cried in the final of wimbledon one thing i havnt seen roddick ever do.

  • I still think this is Fed's best performance in one match, thus the greatest performance of all time. Thanks for posting!

  • speechless

  • 3:08 ...wtf is that shot lol

  • I hope one day Andy beats Roger in a Wimbledon Final...

Federer is undoubtedly the better player, but I think it'd be nice to see Andy win it one day. Especially after this year's Wimbleodn.

  • roddick could have one this years wimbledon

    he was SO CLOSE

  • It was at that 2nd set tie-break that he lost the match. If Andy won that tie-break, he would've beaten Roger, but alas... that stupid tie-break where he completely imploded.

  • Yeah. Now that Federer has beaten Sampras's 14 grand slams, has done the Grand Slam and won Roland-Garros, I don't care that he wins the AO or the FO or the USO again, but let Andy Roddick wins Wimbledon at least ONCE. That would be so sad that he doesn't win it even once in his career.

  • actually

i feel bad for poor murray

rank 3 or 4 or w.e and NO slams

  • @1337SFpro But you know that's what separates the great like A-Rod from the greatest like Roger... the ability to prevail in the most critical moments

  • @AlreadyStoned I pray that NEVER ever happens

  • @AlreadyStoned Yea, Andy deserves 1 more slam before he retires.

  • @Rafathaman94

Don't think so. I think he is now weak.
