    Hi Eoin, that is true to a point.the soil does have contain certain nutrients for growth average npk levels. willow is not suited to peat land,average to good land is best suited.once planted the grow will grow for 20 -25 years from the same cutting when planted. bagged fertiliser is not recommeded as it is quick releasing and due to the nature of willow it does not need a fast releasing fertiliser. organic fertilisers and organic wastes are best suited due to slower release.
