  • Is the Woodstock connected to the circuit board, or is he separate? By the way, that voice for Snoopy... Well, it beats "WAA WAAAA" that he did on the cartoons.

  • where can i buy this?

  • Wouldn't it be great to listen to the WOW Snoopy storybook cassette tapes onto YouTube in 108p HD! without the talking Snoopy toy itself like never before this is for you Peanuts fans!

  • I need this in my life.

  • WHERE IS MARCYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY !!!!

  • @arthurisfun It was part of a collection I bought, so I don't have a price on what I paid for this one item.

  • how did you get a hold of this and how much wa sit?

  • "hello you stupid beagle!" *groan* "hello Lucy"

  • What I've always wondered is why Snoopy was the main one with the tape player, and not Charlie Brown. Personally, I would have had Charlie, with Snoopy as the attachment, given how Snoopy did NOT talk in the cartoons.

  • @redilliop There was a prototype Charlie Brown made. You can see him in some of the marketing materials, such as this display. You can just make out Charlie Brown in the photos.

  • @snoopsbme but he didn't have the tape player. He's the Grubby or the Hector, or the Goofy of the duo. Like I was saying, I would have had Charlie as the main one. I didn't say they didn't make Charlie, I said I would have had it the other way around. By the way, I've seen pics of Charlie, as I started collecting WOW stuff in 1986.

  • @redilliop According to my sources, Charlie Brown was never released. In all my 20 years of collecting, I have never seen a Charlie Brown. The reason Snoopy was released first is that most kids love Snoopy. Who wouldn't want a talking dog? It makes sense to have a talking human be the story teller, but there is a precedence with the animated feature "You're a good man, Charlie Brown".

  • @snoopsbme only a prototype was made. Don't forget Snoopy NEVER had a voice in any of the cartoons, that was my whole point as to why I'd put the tape player in Charlie, and have Snoopy be the attachment, rather than the way they did it (my original comment was what this was saying).

  • How much is that worth?I'm seriously curious. It's just AMAZING that this animatronic has beautiful quality sound, and it looks brand new with that set.

  • wow this is amazing , i have snoopy and wood stock but the display unit is amazing, i remeber the teddy ruxpin one

  • Was there a difference in hardware between this display version of Snoopy and the retail version, or are they both the same and the stand out difference is in the audio tape being used? Does that question make sense?

  • @Lachlant1984 Yes, Snoopy has a huge cord of wires coming out his bottom that screws into the base. The base has the tape recorder which is hooked up to the speakers in front and the red button that turns it on. It's also motion sensitive. The whole piece plugs into a wall socket, instead of batteries like the consumer Snoopy.

  • @snoopsbme OK, thanks for the info. When the tape ends do you need to manually turn it over, or is it an auto reverse tape deck, or is it a proprietory endless tape loop that can be left alone without intervension for say the store owner when it's in use in a store display? Do you know if there were other WOW store displays of their other products such as Teddy Ruxpin?

  • @Lachlant1984 It automatically flips over and the same audio is on both sides of the tape. As for other WOW displays, I have no idea. I only have Peanuts collectibles.

  • @snoopsbme Oh, those are the kind that then plays the tape "backwards"- similar to car tape players, it just uses the other head to pull the tape the other way, so it can play the other side.

  • @williamkatt81 Yes, I will be keeping it. Sorry!

  • Oh, he is precious!! You're so lucky to have this display, especially since it mentions the Charlie Brown toy that was never released. Quite rare indeed! =)

  • I so want to find one that works for my brother he would love it!

  • i'm looking for the peanuts gang race car set. it was made in the 70s, and i had it as a kid. i can't find it on ebay, either. crapppp

  • Wow, I like this display, does Woodstock connect to Snoopy at all?

  • No, he doesn't. Charlie Brown was supposed to connect to Snoopy, but Charlie Brown never got produced.
