@yantur51 Thank you for your concern. DrZ is healing but gets a little rambunctious and it reminds him quickly that he is still healing and to not go to crazy. :P

@RobWillieJesse You might be right. LOL I wished the doctor gave a 2 for 1 but the answer was no. Go figure. In fact his was more expensive because he had to be on blood thinner medication. He doesn't need a bell, he uses his lungs quite well. LOL Most of the time I know what he wants or need before he does or figures it out. LOL I get all of his money now that he is down and out. LOL He doesn't have any.
@sunsetlover Thank you. We hope your partner will be up and about in no time too. Jim has to give himself a shot everyday that is a blood thinner. Blood clots run in his family so they was to be cautious that he doesn't get one. Take care of your partner.
Doesn't sound like any fun at all! Wear and tear is one thing, but this sounds like defective materials and/or workmanship. Isn't it still under that lifetime warranty thingie?
I wish the good doc a speedy recovery. Or in lieu of that, some good pain killers... :-)
@anmoose No, it is not. He was in an accident 26 years ago and had broken leg in the knee area and there was a spur that was tearing his meniscus so the doctor had to repair the meniscus and file down the spur. I don't think the accident was covered under the warranty. LOL Thank you. I will let him know. He is allergic to the pain killer that they want to prescribe.
Oh honey I thought he had some gauze or bandage on his knee when his pants were still coverd his leg but that's all swelling!!!! Poor Dr Z ~ Get well soon hun & your a lucky man to have such a great wife to take great care of you!!! <3
@ElizaBrat4Eva He did have a bandage on after surgery. It was bothering him so he decided on his own accord to take the bandage off. I had talked to the nurse and she said that it was fine. Yes, they did a lot of work on his knee. He was in an accident 26 years ago and had broken leg in the knee area and there was a spur that was tearing his meniscus so the doctor had to repair the meniscus and file down the spur. I will let him know. Thanks.
Hope dr.Z recovers fast and does not have alot of pain for too long. my sis-inlay is recovering from her knee replacement survey herself . Take good care of him
@Serramist Thank you. He is allergic to a lot of the pain killers that they wanted to prescribe for him so he can't really take them. He has been using Tylenol extra strength and Tylenol PM. Once in a while he will try a very low dose of the pain killer when he is about to lose his mind over the pain. I am sure your sister-in-law has been through a lot of pain as well. I hope she recovers soon. I will take care of him.
@squincegoddess We are glad he made it too.Yeah, he has had some pain that is for sure. He is allergic to a lot of pain killers that they wanted to prescribe as well which doesn't help. Thank you and thank you. I will let him know.
Oh My Goodness, so thats both of you getting the knee surgery. I really feel for you guys. I hope you get well soon my friend. Thinking of you. Be Well ;) Dr. Al
I really feel4Dr.Z + his knee surgery, as I had a total knee replacement on August 23. The whole experience has opened my eyes2other people's experiences with their surgeries. I feel so much more compassion4their issues+rehabilitation etc...
In my case, I've been plagued with arthritis4decades. Back in April of this year, I was officially diagnosed with advanced osteoarthritis of both knees, which means they are without cartilage+are bone on bone. Not looking forward2having the left knee done.
@DebUSA Oh wow, a knee replacement takes a while to recover from. We thought Dr Z was going to have to have one and we just wasn't wanting to do that at all. He had a arthroscopy done that same as me last year. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers on that one. I am so sorry that you have to go through it once now you are looking to go through it again. Bless your heart. My brother-in-law went through it 2 years ago and almost died because of a PE. Wishing you the best.
Knee surgery hurts. Takes a while to recover. Then getting back to normal is hard also. You had a knee replacement Becky? I had one in 04. Took me 6 months until I felt half way normal again. Felt real good after a year. I bought a battery operated door bell, when I pushed it my wife came lol. Love that recliner!
@yllekr123 Yes it does. I had my surgery last year now he had his now. He can't take many pain killers either as he is allergic to a lot. No, I didn't have a replacement but I had a really bad torn meniscus. I still feel once in awhile that my knee wants to give out. My husband doesn't need a battery operated anything. I automatically know or hear him stirring and know I need to get up for him. LOL Thanks. We got that recliner from Babcocks about 4 years ago.
Take care of that knee, Hope you have a speedy and complete recovery, will put you in our prayer list, again take care and no heroics, mind the doctor and your boss
@speedy75602 Thank you. I will let him know. We appreciate the prayers that is for sure. He has been pretty good by resting it. He gives me a hard time once in awhile and goes to see the doctor on Friday.
@FunnyHaHa312 I am hoping so. He's already talking going back to work. Believe me there is no way that is going to happen before11/7/11. I could be wrong but I don't think so. That recliner is very cozy but it can be hard to get out of for me because I am 5'7 and don't have long legs to push the recliner lift back down if the recliner is all the way back. Thank you and you take care too.
@hvacman77 Thanks, we do too. He was in an accident 26 years ago and had broken leg in the knee area and there was a spur that was tearing his meniscus so the doctor had to repair the meniscus and file down the spur. I do believe he has knee pads but I will let him know to prevent any other problems. :P
@bearchay889 No, thanks. He is going through enough without anymore. Those knee replacement are very risky that is for sure. I am hoping he is on his own two feet soon. :P Thank you.
