  • Is like a Lennon or Dylan of this times

  • @MrViolent09 with less political lyrics

  • This is one of my favorite all-time songs of any genre. Thanks for posting!

  • Technical ability may be impressive, and can be very entertaining, but for me it's a beautiful melody blended with a heartfelt lyric that really stirs the soul.

A film with a good story is far more enjoyable than one that relies on blockbusting special effects, and similarly, a good song is more meaningful than an over-indulgent display of musicianship.

Many of the best songs ever written are also the simplest.

  • @Humbug1100 very true. gonna guess ur a fan of the monkeys as well. a lot of their songs are easy to play but that doesnt make them bad at all.

  • el mejor tipo de música actual¡

  • es un musico con gran sensibilidad mezclando música de los 50. no son canciones son himnos al amor.

  • I love this sound...

  • Hacia mucho tiempo que no escuchaba tan buena musica.

  • LEGEND!

  • come on! the song is entertaining, the quality of the craftmanship in playing is out there and is actually harder than hitting a billion notes a second, rather letting the melody capture or coincide with the melody is far harder to do then going up and down the fretboard! I think its great. Rockabilly type guitar is class too! Van halen isn't guitar tapping lol there were many artists before him and at far better quaity! he is good on michael jackson records though.

  • got to say johnny boom boom on bass does a great job and a good veteran musician playing in such bands from sheffield the sharpcuts and now a great new band called carmen ghia and the hotrods plz check out this new hot rockin band from sheffield soon to be playing at chesterfield rnr club on sat 24 jan o9

  • good song

  • tomanyunits, i play all sorts of stuff and guitar sing songwrite so ... i know what ial talking about.

  • I know a lot of so-called rockabillies who can't play anything like this.

  • so tight, great performance. And as for rock&roll being easy to play...not at this level....playing with a plectrum, fingerpicking and singing LIVE to a audence of 8 to 10 million.i cant think of many outher artists who can

  • Whether a song is easy to play, or not has shit all to do with its quality.

If the opposite we're true, then the Beatles, and many other heralded artists would not have had a career.

You generally hear such comments from Eddie Van Halen types who think playing a million notes a minute is in any way meaningful to competent song writing. They simply don't get the craft of popular music.

Thankfully, artists like Hawley, do understand that craft.

  • I agree with most of what you're saying, but I think there's room for both types of guitar/songwriting in music.

Johnny Marr (The Smiths) is my favourite guitarist, but Van Halen is also up there and I think he's a brilliant songwriter (and guitarist).

I think all styles should be welcomed as they can all provide amazing songs.

P.S. The Beatles are on of my fav bands, but I have to say that quite a lot of Beatles stuff IS hard to play on guitar!!

  • markusravyn3.if rockabilly is so easypeasy you must be a fan of the spice girls....get a grip.

  • Wait till you hear the song he does in the film Flick - it really rocks - and the stuff he has done as Feral Cats is awesome. Ballads, orchestral backing, rockabilly - Richard and his group excel at the lot.

  • ROCKABILLY AIN'T EASYPEASY! i rarely use block capitals, but that comment deserved it. rockabilly is even hardly to achieve nowadays. half the struggle is getting the record company to release it i imagine. also, he does indeed show his heart and soul. have you listened to any of his albums?

  • Richard's best song by far. He should do a whole rockabilly album!

  • this is great.. i watched it and didnt catch his name.. been trying to find it!

  • Cool song first time I have ever listen to this guy

  • I watched this =) Isn't he fab? The echo's a bit high at the start though lol.

  • Thanks so much for sharing! I love his new album!!
