I, like many, believe that the pyramids were found by these ancient civilizations. I'm not an expert but I've read that water corosion would date many of these landmarks way before these ancient cultures, which many of us believe built them. I can't claim this as my own idea. This shows that whoever built the pyramids knew they were on a round Earth WAY before Western civilization did. ...at least way before Western civilization acknowledged the Earth was round. Where are ancient artifacts that is of a higher technology than arrow tips? If we truly was once a global advanced civilization that was destroyed, surely there should be lots of traces of it where ever we go. If our current civilization is destroyed then there will be evidence of it and all our trash for millions if not billions of years.

@fuunguus not necessarily. without the maintenance within 5 years the paint will chip. steel becomes exposed and begins to rust. after only 1000 years the buildings would crumble into rusty sand and the wind mixes it around. rubber melts and deecomposes. ipad and computers would eventually be demolished. If something happens to survive like say a cd, somebody in the future would find it and not know what it is and what its used for.
