My parents let me choose for myself whether or not to believe in evolution or creationism. Why is that so scary for other parents? It allows someone to objectively make a choice in what they wish to believe in. If you're strong in your faith then put faith in your child to do the same on their own.

To be clear, Spahr (the lady in the beginning of the video) was not supporting teaching Creationism or ID. She was the chair of the Dover science department and was against teaching ID or Creationism. All she was trying to do was get a new textbook approved and was trying to make compromises with the school board while still maintaining science standards and complying with state laws. She was a witness for the plaintiffs during the trial.

I've seen physics textbooks that were laced with Newtonism and Einsteinism from beginning to end. We, as parents, should DEMAND that these views are balanced by something else, like maybe "magical levitation theory".
