I want to do this with my ipod touch. I have a HDMI phillips surround sound. I have it plugged into the tv. When I switch to the dock it says ipod but no picture appears...Do I need to change the settings on my ipod?

i have the ipod nano gen4 and Apple component AV out, but when I plugged into the TV, the TV screen was divided into two smaller screen (not full screen), even Although they have edited to fit the ipod screen when AV is out then.

i figured it out, apperently the new 3.0 firmware for the ipod touch cancels out 3rd party hardware, cuz i got the cable online for liek 3 bucks, cuz 50 bucks is really not worth it at the apple store

I'm having the same issue, i get the sound but no video i bought a 10 piece set from Ross for $20 came with charger, speakers, retractable earphones, retractable av cables... and some other stuff...

been trying for days to figure out why i can't get the video to show on my tv, its frustrating
